[Shipmates, feel free to find the poor guy sprawled out by the table in the galley. Unfortunately, don't expect much response from him over the journal. Someone's going through sugar withdrawal.]

[Well, what does one do with someone half-dead?

Instead of standing there and being useless, Hiccup at least tries to get the poor guy a cup of water. Getting him to drink it is another story.]

[Or grab the cup. Or lift his head. Well, maybe he'll manage with some help?]

[...Yes, that would need to be done, wouldn't it.

The cup is set down as he attempts to lift the thief's head. Both hands are placed on either side, pulling as firmly as he could.]

[Well, if Hiccup is going to put that much effort into this, Gaius supposes he can try ~~not to die~~ to sit up.]

[Oh thank goodness, that helps him a lot. Team work for sitting up, that's still really sad, but hey. He's up?]

[Now you need to prop him up with a stick. -or not, but Gaius does so himself with his arms. He still looks utterly miserable though.]

[A beat. Hiccup awkwardly puts the cup there for him. By his mouth.]

[...oh. Right. Water.

Gaius lifts a hand to help tilt it so he can take a sip.]

[Remember, Gaius, hydration is a good thing.

The Viking helps ease the cup back down onto the surface of the table before hobbling off to the side.]

[Right, right.]

Not a problem.

[He returns with an orange, letting it roll once he gets back to the side of the table.]

[The orange bounces off of the side of his arm, the thief looks down at it almost blankly before he moves to pick it up.]

...Feeling any better?

No, I think I nearly pulled a Chrom.

[Shaking his head, he begins to peel the orange, putting a little more obvious effort into it.]

[Hold up]

–Chrom? I've heard this name before, right?

Maybe? If you've talked at length to me or anyone from home, he might've been name-dropped.

[He pries an orange slice from the rest once he's peeled the whole thing, popping it into his mouth. MMmmmmm.]

Yeah, maybe it was just a name-drop.

Who is he again? And what's the relation between him and an orange?

He's the head of our group, not to mention what qualifies as ruler over the land of Ylisse. Anyway, you'd think a guy with all that fancy upbringing would know to peel an orange before eating it.

...Seriously? He eats it without peeling???

[He tears off half of the orange, holding it out to Hiccup as he shrugs.]

Just telling it like I saw it.

Yeesh.

[The half is accepted as he makes a face, eyeing the piece as he tries to comprehend eating both the peel and the flesh.]

[Gaius can see him thinking about it, replying as he chews on another slice.]

Yep, exactly.

[He shakes his head, making sure to separate the orange properly.]

...Someone did tell him he was doing it wrong, right?

[Pop goes part of the orange into his mouth afterward.]

Not sure if anyone else noticed. I haven't caught him eating oranges since then to say if that was a one time thing or not.

[He carefully removes a few seeds and puts them with the peels before finishing the last of his own orange slices.]

Mmf, that was good.

Mmn. Maybe that's for the better.

[Never has he seen anyone eat an orange like that, either. Then again, the guy was running low on sugar.]
