[ Nothing elaborate or fancy. Kosuiryo writes, for once, to the world at large and not just to the "Gracious Hosts" as she's so fond of calling them. She has a curious little thought in her mind, and she wants some opinions. ]

To those like myself on the Surface,

Is it possible to have a place of permanent residence in this world? I would not mind someplace I may stay where I may keep my collection and not have to carry it with me every day. I find that twenty Surface wares are quite heavy.

From what I understand, it's possible, though not recommended. There are countless islands, many of which unexplored and uninhabited, leading to them likely being dangerous places to choose to make home, but as a general consensus it seems that most people take to making the ship on which they are a member of the crew their residence. A mobile home, if you will.

I suppose I should acquire a larger craft if this is how it is done here. I only own one small boat at the moment, and though I do not mind sleeping on its boards, I am quickly losing room for my possessions.

Hmm, have you consulted a crew to join? Often members of crews are given quarters for themselves and their belongings on a much larger vessel. Perhaps that would suit more?

I have not. I am unsure how I would go about asking, or how I would contribute -- most if not all crews have something to contribute as a whole. What could I bring to a crew that they would find of use.
