[The entry starts abruptly, with a loud clatter like the journal was suddenly dropped and just oh-so-conveniently opened to a blank page. But the clattering is immediately covered by someone yelling, though the voice sounds a bit distant.]

—ammit, Luffy! Give those BACK!!

[Pounding footsteps rumble through the journal as people stampede around the deck, and there's more snarling, and then oddly a bunch of laughter, too.

It is not Sanji's laughter.]

Those are mine, you shitty rubber! Get your damn paws off 'em, it's MY prize and—

The hell are you doing?! Oi! OI!!!

[Sanji's voice slips up a notch. Noooo, don't hang them up there, what are you doing???]

DAMMIT, LUFFY, I'M GONNA KILL YOU! TAKE THOSE DOWN RIGHT NOW!!

[There's some more scuffling sounds, Sanji's voice growing fainter as he moves to scale the mast...or more likely just Sky Walk his way up to where his idiot captain is hanging around their Jolly Roger.

And then the post cuts off just as abruptly as it started.]

I doubt anyone was looking for me. But just to let my clients know, I've been under the weather for a while now and I had to quarantine myself in my cabin so that my captain and everyone else in my crew wouldn't catch whatever it is that I have. I haven't fully recovered yet. But, at least, I'm able to get out of bed.

Now, since I have your attention, there are a few things I need to address.

One.

Lea was a good man. He was like a brother to me and...[her voice cracks, just a little bit] I don't think anyone could every replace him. It saddens me to think that I may never see my brother again. There is a piece of my heart that is now missing from me. But I know that things will get better, and know that no matter where he is. He will always have a sister who loves him.

[A pause. A deep breath. And she continues.]

T-Two.

My offer to help people with treasure hunting still stands. But please give me a few more days to recover before I can start taking clients again. My body isn't prepared to handle intense study sessions. Not just yet.

Three.

Hazzies. If you haven't already found them. I got everyone presents for Valentine's, or hearts day, or love day, or whatever the hell they choose to call it in this world. Little black rings for everyone. Had them modelled after toothless because, you know, our boat is the Nightfury? Whatever. Wear it. Don't wear it.

and Four?

I missed you guys.

[If anyone needed her, she'd be in the galley, wrapped in a blanket and drinking tea]

Between marriages and krakens, it's been... quite a lively month. And after the narrowly averted disaster preceding it, a welcome break. To think that we nearly lost the fruits of our hard labour in one fell swoop. How long before Davy Jones returns?

I still consider it a fairly auspicious start to the year. Compared to the year before...

[A wistful sigh.]

I hope that everyone remains in one piece. Our journals grow quieter, but somehow life in this realm seems to stay as hectic as ever.

[for a moment there is just the sound of quiet surf and the call of shore birds and then Thatch sighs]

Ahh, what a beautiful day. Just look at that blue sky. Feel that wind. It's so calm and peaceful...

Which means, of course, we should go find some Navy men to badger. After all, its our civic duty, as scurvy dogs of the sea, to make sure they're kept on their nimble little toes.
