[Even after a fair amount of time, some people aren't used to getting stuck in one place for long─ or more accurately, not being able to go whenever they want due to other people being involved in the journey. Despite how crazy the previous month was, it was much closer to what Ragna is accustomed to, and thus it doesn't take long until he grows tired of the dull routine.

Obviously, there's only one remedy for that.]

Let's say you've got some free time on your hands and nothing interesting to do.

[Like he does, obviously.]

Gimme some recipes to try. A little variety can't hurt.

[A pause, before he adds as an afterthought:]

... Bonus points if I can use a parrot in those.

Leliana
13 February 2014 @ 01:40 am
[Unfortunately, Leliana had arrived during a time without a welcoming committee. Though she saw the flyer, she didn't have the immediate confrontation she needed due to the importance of the event she was taken from. Within the journal, she could only see a few entries and none were telling her that this was a completely different world. It's not like it was something she would come to the conclusion of while waking up in an unknown port town, and the great importance of the event she was taken from caused her to quickly add her own entry to the journal. She could have written it in the magical book, but it wouldn't have really captured the tone of her voice. Its desperation and urgency were very important. She pushed aside her initial uncertainty on the capabilities of the book, and spoke to it.]

So this legend, that poem... is true?

[She sounds almost disbelieving of it, but quickly goes on.]

I've never heard of it before, in any of the places I've been or people I've met. If it is supposed to be our only way back home, and it's been shattered, then I can only say that there's no time to find the pieces! There must be another way. All of Thedas, no, all of the world is in great danger! The blight... it must be stopped, before it grows too large.

[She wasn't sure what the light meant. She hoped that it had meant the end of the archdemon, but it could have been something else. It could have been the distraction needed to capture her and who knew who else, for example. Until she was sure, she had to make sure others knew of the potential danger.]

Everything you know, everything you've lived for will be destroyed. Killed or corrupted beyond recognition. All the beauty in the world, gone.

[She paused for a short moment.]

There is a small chance that the archdemon has been destroyed, but I don't know for sure. I was taken before I could find out.

[Her voice grew a little rougher for that last sentence. Her disproval very clear in her tone.]

But we can't take the risk if it wasn't destroyed!

I realize this might be something of a strange question, but it is something that has been bothering me lately.

[ Zeref was sitting at the central table in the Hope of the Seas' galley. He had noticed a bowl on a table at the far end of the galley, near where the corridor to the crew cabins and the fresh water tankards (which Zeref has taken upon himself to 'purify' with his Death Magic on occasion; who knew he could find a positive purpose for it?), but he barely even looked at it as he walked passed. He didn't even see that it was candy. ]

Demons exist in other worlds, correct? What are they like? What are they motivated by?

Akechi Mitsuhide

More familiar names belonging to unfamiliar people, from worlds both extremely close and very far in nature from the one I know. I do not think it is something one could ever get completely used to.

Sometimes I wonder if-

[And at that point Mitsuhide trails off, leaving little dots of ink after his last words, because without really thinking about it he has pulled a certain sweet from the bowl that has appeared in the Koumyou's island camp. Distraction makes the magical urge to do so very hard to resist; it makes the urge to obey the heart-shaped sweet's message even harder to ignore.]

[So a few moments later, Mitsuhide adds, in a slightly less neat kind of script:]

Lord Motochika, I love you.

[...yeah, he's just going to leave it there. Whatever he was going to say beforehand has been unsurprisingly washed from his mind by sheer embarrassment.]

This is Mami Tomoe, first mate of the Hope of the Seas.

I just wanted to let everyone know that... if you find a bowl full of heart-shaped candies on your ship, try not to eat them.

Eating those candies might make you end up doing things you didn't w... [She stops because she didn't want a certain crewmate to feel upset by her saying she didn't want to hug him.] plan on doing. Or on saying. Depending on what's written on the piece of candy.

...Oh and for everyone who reads this, especially those who are lucky enough to have someone they love here, don't forget that tomorrow is Valentine's Day. [She gives a bright smile.] Especially the girls, right? [Mami being Japanese, she knows Valentine's Day is the opportunity for girls to tell a boy they like him and hope he'll return their feelings next month on White Day.] I personally wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day, though a bit in advance.

Have a nice day and thank you for you attention.

[Paper letters are left for Homura and Zeref in their cabins] )

[Voice / Action at Gun Frontier Island]

Sadly I will not be able to make it to Isla Empieza to greet all of the new arrivals. I know you must be confused by all that has happened but do try to remain calm. It would do no one any good to overreact. Even if I can not be there in person to offer you guidance, I can at least offer to answer any questions you may have. These 'magical' journals are at least useful for that.

I wonder, are there any among your number with military or law enforcement experience? Perhaps you just find the notion of being forced into a life of Piracy distasteful? If there are I should very much like to speak to you. We might find we have a great deal in comm--

[ A girlish giggle interrupted the speaker, and while this went unseen by those listening to the entry, the hearty kiss the barmaid laid on his lips made it quite impossible to continue with his speech. This was what came of trying to do any serious business in a saloon. Even the dark quiet corners of the place were not safe from the madness the locals seemed to be suffering from. The barmaid giggled again as she stood and placed the bowl of candy sweets on the table in front of him. An indigenous treat? He hadn't had any of the small candy hearts yet himself, but what could be the harm? ]

[ OOC: Post with voice and you are safe from the candy hearts. However, if you choose action I will hit this site and a randomly selected heart will be what happens. Make sure to tell me when you reply what kind of hearts you would be ok with: open to anything, only friendship hearts, nothing too dirty, ect. ]
