It's new year's eve. It was July 15 for me the day I ended up here. I wonder if that means it's December back on my planet now and if the Yamato made it back. I might not even have a ship or planet to go back to even if we do find this jewel.

[This is a very noisy post, as there seem to be a lot of people in the background. Some of them are yelling, all of them are definitely working. There's a whooshing noise as the sail is adjusted and the swish of ropes being pulled. And then more yelling.

And a groan coming from much closer, most likely the person holding the journal.]

If anyone has actual experience sailing, I'd appreciate some advice. Especially if you know how to turn a ship against the wind.

[Because the wind has mostly been going in one direction, and that leaves them little choice as to where to go. Whoops. Who knows where they'll end up.

But before she can say anything more, there's a louder, more distressed yell in the background. And a louder whoosh. Shepard neatly ducks as the boom comes flying across deck, a few inches above her head. Then it goes quiet. A seagull squawks in the distance. If you listen carefully, there's a bit of muffled swearing from somewhere up above.

And then:]

Thane, can you get Joker down from the rigging?

[the space-faring, technologically superior races of the galaxy, people. Something so primitive as a ship should be easy to handle, right?]

Harry James Potter
Sorry, lost track of things there for awhile. Though, in my defense most people would be pretty bad off if some git nearly got them killed wanting a closer look at dinosaurs.

I'm not going back to that island by the way, not unless it's strictly necessary. I don't fancy being eaten by a Tyrannosaur.

[Option A: Voice]

Did anyone else wake up this morning like they were auditioning to play the part of my Pops?

My tattoo grew another mustache facing the opposite direction. Pretty neat trick I must say.

While my crew decided to soak in various hot springs, I took a trip to see what the island had in store for literature and history. I'm willing to share if I can interest anyone, eh.

[Option B: Action]

[Meanwhile, refusing to actually get in the water where he would sink like a rock, Marco is chilling out in phoenix form in a nest of fluffy towels, reading a book where it won't get splashed.]

[No really.]

[There's a pretty big bird in a nest of towels reading a book and acting like this is a normal thing.]

[Spoilers: It's seriously not normal.]
