It's new year's eve. It was July 15 for me the day I ended up here. I wonder if that means it's December back on my planet now and if the Yamato made it back. I might not even have a ship or planet to go back to even if we do find this jewel.

From everything I've heard about this place -- and I've been here for almost four months -- it operates on its own time. Our worlds don't even know we're gone. According to the Dog, and it's borne out with the people from mine who've come.

Because other people might want more proof than two individuals provide. They might be an exception rather than the rule.

If one wanted to be extremely sure, then all you would need to do -- as we've been told it may be possible to return home by assembling the shards of the gem we're seeking and making a wish -- is word your request to be that you want to return to your world (provided you do) at the moment you were taken from it.

Yeah someone should pass that info around. I'd hate to be sent back and end up in a bulkhead or exposed to hard vacuum. There have to be other people likely were not on solid ground.

I think you're a few months off from December for your home.

It would also depend on when you arrived here.

Beginning of the month. We only had a year to complete our mission.

Then how could it already by December back in your world? Unless the days of the year are different?
