My crew and I recently departed from a certain island somewhere in the South. I say somewhere because its location is hard to pin down; it appeared on the map only when we were right next to it and has now vanished from it again. The island itself disappeared when we had sailed only a short distance from it.
If you are able to find it, however, it is well worth dropping anchor there. The place is full of magic, and one might even say it is alive in some sense. The weather often responded our feelings and actions; I was witness myself to some rather dramatic moments. There are creatures I once thought mythical there too. Why, at one point a group of small, winged beings gathered around my Lord Motochika as he played his shamisen and enjoyed his music so much they gifted him with many incredible items!
Even without such unusual wonders, however, its environment alone made it worth the trip. There is one place that took my breath away; a desert with sand that glittered so brightly that one might think it was a bed of crystals, to look upon it. One could write countless verses about that sight.
[As it happens, and as some might quickly guess is the case, Mitsuhide is certainly one such person. He is a talented poet, so how could he resist? Of course, some of those verses reflect something of personal importance to him that happened there, which is why he isn't sharing them now.]I promised to share useful information amongst the others brought to this land, but even if this island isn't of practical use to everyone, it may lift your hearts. I should think you will find plenty of use to you there, however.
