[The following is written in what can probably best be described as a flamboyant yet legible chicken scratch.]

Dear Creepy, Enchanted Pirate Diary,

The rhyming and the pirate accent are a nice touch. Very authentic-like.

SO, this was definitely NOT what I was expecting when I woke up this morning. Or what I'd expect waking up any morning, really. But here I am, and here we are, and I have to say, out of some of the potential career options I was considering back home, the idea of turning to piracy definitely has some appeal.

Since apparently I can use this thing to recruit crew members, that's what I'm going to do.

I've already got a captain and a healer and a ship's dog, so I'll be needing a musician, a cook, and maybe a navigator. Also a warrior-type or two, I guess, since Aveline and Fenris didn't have the decency to come along with us.

All applicants please report to Captain Isabela.

Or you can talk to me, I guess.

[Behold, the most immaculate and flourished handwriting.]

Well met, fellow travelers! My name is Yotsuba Alice, and it is a pleasure to meet you.

I have only arrived recently, but I see there are several fascinating and potentially dangerous things out there in this world. While worrying, I also find it a bit intriguing. I saw mention of "dragons" sighted by one ship I'm the past several days, by chance has there been any other curious discoveries out there?

I would also like to extend my thanks to any that may have helped my dear friends, Aida Mana and Hishikawa Rikka, in the time before my arrival. It is most appreciated, and I too would like to make the acquaintance of anyone they might have.

With that, I leave you with my esteemed hope that if nothing else, all efforts being put forth can uncover the depths of our journey's meaning, or at least make some fascinating new discoveries!

~Alice

[Codi has probably put far too much time into this than is really reasonable. The idiot who took up the 'first question slot' in Scurvy Dog's update earlier in the week was apparently someone people knew, but not someone that she knew herself; it took some back-tracking through her journal, sifting through the entries of others to track down his name so that she could request a private message--which in itself required some trial-and-error, seeing what commands it would respond to and quickly scratching out the bits that didn't work, until finally she tried the obvious and simply asked the silly thing to lock it. This appears to have worked.]

Only Gintoki Sakata should see this. If not, I don't think it matters--we all know what it is you want.

[It required some shopping around to find that green ink, and it takes her a while to write so meticulously, but anonymity is important here.]

You can call me the Tyrant. I understand that there's a particular work of literature that you're anxious to get your hands on? Something by the name of Shonen Jump?

What would you say if I happened to have come into possession of multiple issues of this work?
