[Voice & Written]
[He's going to regret this later, but there's a bunch of excitedly high-pitched chirps like a bird singing a love song.]
[That's okay. It matches the background sounds.]
[But FAR more embarrassing is the scribbles he makes into the journal:]

[So someone has a case of Spring Fever. Or maybe just a fever.]
[And then in big bold colorful levels Marco makes sure to add:]
FREE FLOWER CROWNS FOR EVERYONE WHO SIGNS UP NOW.
[Yeah. He's kind of lost it.]

Thatch and Ace both only have this world right now, although Chandra says she'll take them traveling with her through the planes. [He's jealous about that... suddenly. He wants to go. Duty to the rest of his family in his time or not. Is it possible to split? Well hell, Chandra can summon phoenixes, why not him as well?]
Either way, you're in good company.

It makes me open-minded.

[This is good. At this point he's feeling a lot more on an even keel. Marco's idea was brilliant. He might be able to suffer through the rest of their time at the island and hopefully, never return.]

[He's quiet for a few moments, gathering his thoughts mostly. He was supposed to be telling Marco stories from his home, so he tries to come up with another that's really not as depressing.]
I'm not sure I have any more good stories. Most of my stories are pretty, well, you know. [He waves his hand.]
[A random thought occurs to him, one of the conversations of note he had with Riku comes to mind.]
What do you call the language you're speaking, Marco?

[He sits up a bit, looking at him curiously.]
Riku and I talked about this once and it was really interesting. I really should ask more people.
no subject
[Hand to forehead.] Ah, and not Wano Island dialect I guess.
Why?
no subject
What I see in my journal is probably vastly different then yours. I could show you, there's a way to override it, if you try. Riku seemed surprised at the time. It's just something I thought of one day.
I can speak English, but not terribly well. It's more conversational than anything, but we understand each other all fine.
no subject
Wait so then does this make any sense to you?
no subject
I don't know what that is.
[He pulls out his journal and lays it out in front of Marco to the end of where they stopped talking there. To Marco it probably looks normal but he pulls out his pen and just by willing it, he signs his name in Japanese.]
結城 夏野
That's my name. That's what it looks like when I sign anything.
no subject
It looks like Wano dialect, but I'm not proficient.
[Runs his quill over the back of his neck again.] I wonder how that works, yoi.
no subject
But will can completely override the translation. [Natsuno pushes it aside to demonstrate.]
You can cast it off. Why do we come back from the dead here?
[Maybe he's overthinking things again.]

Well, it's probably related. [He focuses his eyes in thought.]
Have you noticed though... half of the people here from other worlds are either incompetent and inexperienced at sailing...
Or the rest are like me, and have very little reason to go home.
no subject
[He nods a little bit.]
Most of this crew was inexperienced at sailing too. [Including himself.]
I'm trying to understand the underlying motivations. Bringing people here to run a mission for you, but there's no guarantee they will, and on top of that no penalty if you don't. We're not exactly chasing after shards. You'd think someone with that kind of power would keep tabs on people. That's why I suspect this person so much.
There's no guarantee that we'd go home if we complete the task, in fact, I daresay it's less likely that we'd be returned home once our purpose has been used up.

[He hums a bit.]
Well this is why Tohru would tease me for studying so much.
no subject
Not many do.

[He huffs a little and pushes his hair out of his eyes. His hair is something he should consider, especially if people are going to ruffle it.]
I suppose I had to have something. People don't like me for my winning personality.
[Ah, a rare appearance of his sense of humour.]
no subject
In any case we need more level heads on this crew.
