[Voice & Written]

[He's going to regret this later, but there's a bunch of excitedly high-pitched chirps like a bird singing a love song.]

[That's okay. It matches the background sounds.]

[But FAR more embarrassing is the scribbles he makes into the journal:]

[So someone has a case of Spring Fever. Or maybe just a fever.]

[And then in big bold colorful levels Marco makes sure to add:]

FREE FLOWER CROWNS FOR EVERYONE WHO SIGNS UP NOW.

[Yeah. He's kind of lost it.]

Well, well, Phoenix Marco.

[a little less child, a little more lunatic. He is mildly surprised at this development but knowing Portgas is here, perhaps not so much]

You tell me.

[and no. He's intrigued by this state. Go on.]

[was he a marine? or was he a muppet? That would be difficult to tell in this place but perhaps it would sort itself out after a while.]

Well... [he thinks back... how many days? Ah...] ...No it doesn't matter.

These are not your seas.

[don't think you can roost here. Though he will try to tell Portgas as such since he is the most dangerous at the moment, he knows that it will stick with Phoenix Marco.

For good or ill]

[clever. He couldn't tell if the man meant Portgas, Whitebeard or someone else. Though likely the two unless Redhair had somehow wormed his way under the radar. That man... He was such a troublemaker.

The challenge was there in the pirate's voice. Come get me if you can and watch me crush you. And it was tempting, and he may have to try since his own justice, for now, cannot allow Portgas to escape what they had worked so hard to set up. Not on these seas, not on the seas at home.

But he wasn't a fool to threaten Phoenix Marco right now. Nor to even go after him]

We'll see.

[said passively because they would see. Where the wind blew. How the tides changed. Portgas would meet his fate one way or the other but it may not be how anyone expects it]

[he has nothing to say to that. Letting Phoenix Marco know where things stood was one thing, provoking him was something entirely different.

Well...

It was all for the best for right now any way.]
