[For the most part Futo hasn't seemed much different from her usual self. She was still archaic, she was still formal, and she was still generally kind. However there was one very big difference, and it was about to manifest itself for all to see.]

I... I feel that I should not avoid this any longer, and it has already been too long in saying this. It has been unfair and cruel to my companion Soga no Tojiko, and I am truly ashamed and abashed at my behavior. I am... I am unsure of why I even transgressed against her... but....

Tojiko, I am truly most sorry to have ended your life in such a manner, I am unworthy to speak of such a ghastly wrong against you, and it is due time that I accept my crimes and face them properly. I put myself into your hands, and my your decision be my judgement.

For my crew mates, it is only fair that you know of this dark history, and deem what you may for it. I would not wish for one who is known to be a traitor to be amongst my ranks as well... and I will accept what is doled.

But right now... she feels like anything she'd get out of Futo would just be taking advantage of her in a compromised state.-

[Usually, the girl here would comment on the fact that she was asking forgiveness for killing someone. Why should she be forgiven? It was only right for her to die in return.

However, on this day due to her own differences, a softer, kinder voice sounds through the journal.]

It's good that you chose to come forward with this. I can only hope that in time, you're forgiven by all of your companions.

Since fate has been so kind to give her life again, it seems only right to come forth and start anew. If she would allow me so much.

When did you kill Miss Tojiko?

[He is now searching the ship for Futo. Utterly horrified.]

When? When she first died.... I am the reason she is but a ghost.

[The sound of his hurrying stops as he works through that response. He'd assumed Miss Futo was talking about just now or in the near past. But Miss Tojiko had become a ghost long before coming to the world of the Isles.]

Then... Miss Tojiko is okay? She's not hurt right now?

I suppose.... At least.... Yes. She is alive again and that is better than her previous condition.

Then why are you apologizing? Didn't you apologize before this? You're friends. Why would you wait so long?

I... I have never done so before.

[Since she wasn't really sorry.]

Thinking of it now, it feels over due. Perhaps it was an easy thing to ignore as I had not seen her for fourteen hundred years.

[She seemed generally guilty. But then, she was feeling that way currently. She really couldn't remember or understand why she had done such a thing to begin with.]

[It's still April Fool's, and Sasuke is still chipper as fuck. He's looking for Futo because he's decided that this is the sort of conversation that is important to have in person.]

[Futo could be found on deck. Seeing Tojiko alive, happy, and well had left her feeling extremely guilty. She had yet to hear back from Tojiko and was growing worried. Perhaps it had been too late to apologize?]

Hey! [He waves before he approaches, clapping a hand on her shoulder in a proudly affirming sort of gesture.]

Good job. Acknowledging the mistakes you've made will repair your important bonds and make you stronger.

It is meaningless if she does not accept them however....

It's not meaningless if it has meaning to you!

I suppose, perhaps thinking of it in a way that at least the long awaited apology has been given is meaningful.

That's right, keep positive about it and I'm sure it'll work out!
