*That's the last thing she writes before heading over to the moon. Takes a few minutes, but eventually she appears in his door way*

Hey.

[Huffs a little at that parting line -- though it does make him crack a small smile at least.

Which he redirects toward Selphie when she appears.]

Hey. [Holds his journal up.] I'm shutting up, okay. And...thank you. Ahead of time.

Good. You need to shut up to get the full benefit of my hug!

*She smiles back at him and moves further into the room, arms extended for a big, tight, cuddly hug*

Well, I wouldn't want to miss out on that.

[The smile grows a bit and he pushes himself up, lifting his arms a little to meet her.]

How are you doing after all this?

*After squeezing Riku for suitably long enough, Selphie finally sits back and sighs*

I'm okay. I just... want her to come back, is all. She will, but, it's hard. And it's difficult when everyone round here is so sucky about offering hugs.

*She grins a little and winks*

[Lets go, but doesn't really back away or anything. He stays sitting close to her.]

She will... [He grins.] Have you thought about giving hug lessons?

Hug lessons?

*Selphie laughs at that but claps her hands together, evidently very pleased with the idea*

Wow, no, I've never thought of that! But that's an awesome idea!

A lot of people on board could probably benefit from it.

[Puts on a faux smug face.]

Though, clearly, I don't need lessons.

Uh...

*Selphie raises a brow at that smug grin and gives a questioning look*

I dunno. You should try it again just so I can be sure.

[Now he looks thoughtful.]

Mm...I dunno, if I give you too many then they won't be as special.

[But even as he's saying that, he lifts as arm and drapes it around her shoulders. Going for a half-hug here!]

Blah, blah, whatever.

*Selphie laughs a little and nudges herself into his half hug*

See? That wasn't so bad, was it? Offering a lil hug like that.

Definitely wasn't the worst thing I've ever done. I think I can live with handing out small ones like that more often.

[Grins at her.]

Long as they're returned, anyway.

Exactly!

*She smiles back and pokes him in the shoulder*

Riku, I'm starved of hugs round here, so it's not likely I'll turn it down.

*There's a pause, her voice softening*

You're okay, though, right?

[Laughs.]

Alright, alright. Fair enough.

[Then at her question, his smile fades -- but only a little. And he nods.]

I...yeah. As okay as I can be.

[He draws in a deep breath.]

She'll either be back or she's gone home. Those are the options I'm sticking with.

You know you can pester me anytime, right? I have to keep reminding people that I'm here, else everyone seems to forget or something.

*Selphie nods and places a hand firmly, comforting, on his shoulder*

You're right. Next thing you know, you'll be hugging Kairi and think it's so weird that she was ever gone.

Nah... I couldn't ever forget you're here. You wouldn't let me.

[Grins and bumps his shoulder against hers.]

And I wouldn't want to. You've been in my life forever, you know. Even longer than Kairi actually.

[Sighs, tipping his head back.]

I appreciate this.

*Selphie laughs out loud at that comment, because it is definitely true. But she smiles broadly and gives Riku and affectionate look*

It feels nice, thinking that I've been in someone's life forever.

[Glances over at her, returning said look.]

...Random thought, but it's gonna be weird if we ever get out of here and I go back home and suddenly you're younger than me again.

...yeah.

It'll be weird, just going back home. At least I'll still be around to bug you all the time. But - you won't be in my world, not really. Or anybody here.

*She wrinkles her nose at the thought and looks down at her feet*

Hey... If we can jump worlds or universes or whatever to end up here, then maybe we'll still be able to once we get out. Traveling to other worlds...it's definitely possible. Sora and I did it even before all this happened.

Hmm. Maybe. It'll just be a lotta universe jumping if I'm gonna get to visit everyone. There's too many people round here I'll miss.

*She shakes her head hard, getting rid of the thought, then turns to him with a grin*

So that's why we gotta keep hugging and smiling as much as we can while we're all here!
