[A week in isolation. How does one even survive such a life? Cynthia had been living in a cave because no inn would accept a woman dressed in all black, who walked around with a “landshark”.]

So I’ve been living in a cave near the beach for a good week now, and I heard some pretty interesting things from the locals. One is that now I’m being accused of being some kind of sea witch because I walk around with pokemon.

Listen people, just because I wear all black and walk around with a dragon doesn’t make me magical. I wish I was so I didn’t have to live in a cave. But clearly I wasn’t one of the lucky ones. So I’d really appreciate it if someone could tell the locals to stop sending search parties to try and capture me. Really, I’m nothing special.

Another was that, for my own safety, I’m better off joining some kind of pirate crew. If I wanted to survive in this world.

Guys, my grandmother raised me to be a good girl. But if I have to pillage and start shooting people as a means to survive, then we’re going to have a little problem. I can’t carry a sword and I don’t know how to use a gun. Though I could offer my knowledge in wilderness survival and my team of magical creatures that could do some actual damage if asked.

Any takers, please look for me. I’ll be the girl living in the cave near the beach. Just ask the locals for the sea witch, I’m sure they could tell you where I am (and probably offer you a reward for my capture).

We used to have a kid with creatures he called Pokemon. His name was Gold.

Perhaps "Sea Sorceress" would be a more acceptable term. It sounds far more formidable.

Well I'm not really trying to sound scary. But it does have a nice ring to it.

Well it's not exactly an easy task. I sent two of my pokemon out to scout the waters. But for some odd reason, they could only swim to a certain distance before being forced to turn back.

So I've been told. But finding a crew isn't really easy since I don't know anyone here.

Well people keep calling her a landshark. Not exactly sure what that means, but she's a ground type, not a landshark!

Well I'm not familiar with the term either. Point is, she's a good dragon and I don't understand why everyone's so afraid of her.

Flying, earthquakes, fire breathing...nightmare manipulations. Things.

"Things" is rather unspecific. Fire-breathing could be quite useful, but earthquakes will do a sailor little good.

[He never did get the chance to try to talk Gold into using his to power furnaces. Oh, the things he could have built...]

Well if you wanted water related, I have deep sea divers, one that could summon waves and blizzards.

Probably my fault for sending my Spiritomb out to scout the forest. Who knew the locals would be afraid of a creature made from purple mist?

The humans here can get rattled pretty easily, and besides, I don't think they had ever seen one of those before.
