[Oh no....

She sees the post, stops whatever she's doing, and goes off in search of her on the ship.

When she does find her:]

Luka?

[Luka is sitting in her room, throwing what looks like darts at a target board]

... Sakura? What're you doing here?

I can't visit a friend?

... You saw my post on the journals, didn't ya?

[The hands behind her back, positioned to look innocent, drop to her sides. Then her smile fades and she looks sympathetic.]

I'm sorry, Luka. I know most of us want to go home but it's still easier to be here with friends than by yourself.

[She finally steps into the room further and peers at the dartboard and tries another small smile.]

Could I play with you?

... Never said I wanted to be myself.

[she smiles, and walked over to retrieve the darts]

Sure, we can play. This was a thing Marvelous was into, you know...

It looks fun. [And something she could be good at since she throws knives at targets for a living.]

Was he good?

[hands several of the darts over to her]

Yeah, he did it with weighted bracelets. It was a training exercise.

[Takes them, weighing them in her hands. Much lighter than kunai.]

There was training like that back home too, before we graduated the Academy. We used kunai and tree stumps instead of a target boards and darts though.

[She gets into position and throws, hitting one of the outside marks and creating a louder than necessary thunk. Probably threw it too hard and its awkward to aim compared to her usual kunai.]

Oops. This is a much smaller target though, and much smaller projectiles.

What about you? Did you train with him?

Sometimes, sometimes... [she laughed at Sakura's attempt, before lining up her own shot]

It wasn't easy for us, all the time, either. We used a bunch of other super sentai teams' powers, you see... we didn't always master them right away...

Super sentai?

You know how I turn into the form with the bright yellow outfit? That's the power of the super sentai. We Gokaiger had the power to become previous teams' forms.

[She can kind of relate to that; her Yin Seal is something she learned from her master. Naruto was trained by Jiraiya, and Sasuke by Orochimaru, in a way. Those three were a team before them.]

So you mastered the powers of someone like you from a previous generation.

It's worth it though in the end, isn't it? Even if it's difficult.

Oh yeah, sure. I have to admit though, it was a bit easier than you'd think, considering there were around thirty five of these guys...

That's quite a few...

[Considering her Academy classes had 30 kids in one room.]

Yeah, now consider the fact that each team had at least three members, multiply that...

At least one hundred and five people.

[Not the size of shinobi army with magic powers but still sizable]

Yeeeeep. And I'm pretty sure I heard the term "199 heroes" thrown around a couple times, so it was more that that.

In retrospect, I think we had a pretty easy time with those powers after all.

That's pretty amazing, you know.

[She lines up her second dart.]

That those powers have spread so much with so many people.

[And throws. There's a much softer thunk, and she hits just outside the bullseye.

A grin spreads across her face.]

[Luka whistles, clearly impressed]

Pretty sharp eyes you have there, Sakura. Bet you have plenty of other talents~.

[Can't blame the candies this time.]

I just got lucky.

[Tucks some hair behind her ear bashfully.]

I just determined the angle to throw by calculating the distance and height. Velocity is up to chance, plus you have gravity and air resistance to account for and--

[Pauses. Sakura's secret is she's a huge nerd.]

But it's difficult to apply all that off the top of my head, so I guessed. I didn't hit center though.

[Luka listened to all that, and by the time Sakura reached the end of it... she just laughed, shaking her head]

You still came pretty close, though. A combination of planning and flying by the seat of your pants... I like that.

[An awkward smile.]

I guess I did.

Does that mean I'm winning?

[As much as Ragna can sympathize with her situation, having lost his own best friend last month, he's not exactly... good at showing it. Which is why he probably sounds a little more crude than he should, all things considered.]

I've spent the past six months separated from mine. Just because we're currently separated doesn't mean we won't meet again. [Harlock might have way o much blind faith that they will get back to where they came from.]

Yeah, that's true. Sorry to hear about that. We're all pretty cut off from our important people, aren't we?

Yeah but I think I might be more used to being separated for periods of time and you are. [he knew enough Japanese to understand the sentai part.]

I'm a little new to this place but, you move forward while keeping your friend in mind. How they would feel and act if they were still here.

Hm. Marvelous is a bit hard to predict, though.

People have left this world and returned before.

Anyway, people here seem to assume those who disappear just get sent back to when they were taken.

So even if Marvelous went back, he probably wound up at the same point. It's us who will have to keep people in line now that he's gone.
