I've been wondering how big is to big for a ship's pet? They didn't allow animals on the Yamato and they were getting very rare in general. I haven't seen any of the adults but the other creatures on this island are big. And Xun Yu said something about it knocking over trees.

If it can't fit through the door to the hold, or will grow to a size it won't fit when it's an adult, it's probably too big.

Yeah that's what most of the crew thinks. Captain seems dead set on keeping it.

Then I'd say the crew should enforce the the you brought it you care for it rule.

Fully grown ones can fell a tree in a single strike.

Watch your legs around its tail, Kodai; when it reaches adulthood one misplaced swing will easily break them. Hopefully it shall refrain from putting too many holes in the ship. Its days as only a baby are limited.

The Captain is confident in his ability to train this new pet, and he believes its temperament is docile. We should trust his judgement until we have reason to doubt it.

Perhaps one of the larger ones can, but this one's yet a baby. As long as he doesn't think bugs will fall out of you if he hits you hard enough, all should be well.

No there's jungle and ruins filled with traps. [He'd say it reminds him of some old adventure movie but it sound silly.]

...Is there any chance you could, I dunno...trace the map in the journal for me or something? Maybe if other crews get to the island, they can figure out more about it and your new, ah, "pet."

Doesn't your own crew have a map? [It was odd she couldn't just look at her own to see their relative location.]
