[Flowing, almost archaic script starts to inundate the page.]
Dearest Brother,
I do not know if you will ever receive this letter. All I know is that I have been spirited away to this dastardly, horrid, menacing, troubling, and mysterious place known as Isla Empieza. I am very much afraid – who knows what the people here would do to a young maiden such as myself? Oh, oh, my dearest brother, my virtue is at stake – you must come at once! If I die here, I will come back to haunt you and you will never hear the end of it, so I suggest that you come and fetch me at this very moment! One such man asked me my name, and I threw him off the dock. I am truly helpless, waif-like, and defenseless, and I need your aid!
Please, also let my darling fiance Ranma-sama know that I am longing for him. I will simply not entertain thoughts of any other until I find myself in his arms once more. I know how he grieves, but console him, my dearest sibling. How he must pine for me – it is unthinkable.
Brother, I will put this letter in a bottle and hope that it reaches you. I will perhaps ask a turtle to bear it for me. When you receive this, please come and rescue me!
Love,
The Star of Hope of the Gymnast World
The Black Rose
Your Beloved Sister
Kodachi
[voice]
[Some time later . . .]
I can't rip the page out! I've been trying for hours! It just . . . flies back into the journal . . . !!! Magic exists, but only to taunt me! The fates are against me! I'll never be rescued now!
[Cue shrieks, wails, and sobs. When sorrows come, they come not single spies but in battalions.]

I said I would. The name's Brady, and if I can't even protect one girl, then I ain't much of a man myself.
[text]
oh hi there willing servant # 1]Mr. Brady, my name is Kodachi, the Black Rose!
I am so grateful to you. You are as gallant as a knight. ♥ [Yes, she drew the heart and even shaded it in.]
Mr. Brady, have you been here long? Do you know what this place is?
[text]
I only just got here the other day myself. Far as I've been told, this crazy pirate named Davy Jones kidnapped a whole bunch of us to search for this weird jewel.
[text]
But what is this place? What is called? I have also been told that there are "different worlds". If this is true, then this scope of magic is even broader than I have initially believed!
[However . . .]
This Davy Jones . . . The jewel that can grant any wish . . .
[Who's to say that this Davy Jones won't simply claim it for himself once someone has pieced the gem together? If he's powerful enough to get people from other worlds, then surely he's powerful enough to wrest this jewel from whoever has completed it. This is something Kodachi herself would do, so the possibility that someone else would do it is definitely on her mind.]
Aside from the fact that he's kidnapped us, I don't trust him!
[text]
But whoever this Jones guy is, he's a pain in the side. I've got better things to do back home than help some pirate make a pretty little necklace for himself.
[text]
[Better to have the necklace for one's self, right?]
Will you be searching for the pieces of the jewel at all, Mr. Brady? You see, I don't know what I should do!
[text]
[text]
Please, I would do the same for you. Let me know the names of those you seek so that I may help you in your search. ♥
[text]
On my end... I guess it would be easier just to search for one person. My ma's name is Maribelle. She's got blonde hair, bows in her hair, kinda prissy, and doesn't look like she'd have a kid my age. It's kinda complicated.
[After getting so upset already, he feels maybe the talk of time travel might be too much for her.]
[text]
I wish I knew where my mother was, but even back home, I don't know where she's to be found. She must be on an adventure, like I am now.
[text]
I
I didn't mean
Look how about we focus on one thing at a time. And enough with the mister, I'm not that old.
[text]
Please, do not trouble yourself, Mr. Brady.
Oh! I wouldn't dare to simply call you by your first name. To do so would be rude and simply inexcusable. To address you that way - people might think I hate you, or that we . . . we are lovers!
[text] - [voice]
No one would EVER, EVER think that! What kinda messed up world are you from?! I just... why would you...
Fine, call me whatever you want, just don't say that out loud and in front of people! Sheesh!
[voice]
As you wish, Mr. Brady.
[Her voice is definitely sweet, demure, and all the things a proper Japanese girl should be.
Just don't make her laugh.]It is pleasant to hear you speak.
[voice]
[voice]
I think it's quaint.
Besides, it's what you're saying rather than how you say it that matters most to me. The truth that you've sworn to protect a girl like myself . . . why, that is more important than all the mellifluous, empty words the world could offer!
[voice]
[voice]
I will also help you find your mother!
