[First off, he hasn't been crying, okay? It just so happened that at the same time Brady realized he wasn't with the army, and instead in some strange foreign land with no obvious way of getting back, all of this dust just got into both eyes. Okay? OKAY? But the idea of a journal that could spread across lands by talking or writing... Not too strange. He's known some odd sages and sorcerer's in his life, it can't be impossible.
So now what comes across the pages is the most elegant, beautiful penmanship you've ever seen. The kind to make novelists weep. Although the actual words themselves... don't exactly match the gorgeous pen-strokes.]
This is bull-plop! Grade A 100% bull-plop! I've got better things to do than be stuck on some weird island with a bunch of strangers! Someone better reverse that spell and send me back pronto, I don't have time to waste! People's lives are in danger!
Look, if anyone from the army is here, this is Brady. Get back to me as soon as you can. I know for sure we didn't just time travel again. Didn't Laurent say some crap about variables and consistencies and all that? I'll be waiting for you guys near that fountain.
[And, as an afterthought-]
If you guys see my violin, try not to scratch it, okay?

[And this penmanship is just as fine and elegant, though Mitsuhide's words do fit his writing very well indeed.]
Like as not, you are stuck here until he chooses to send you back through his own will.

Why someone with such power cannot do this task himself, we do not know. But a healer is a treasure if he or she can keep someone whole and intact; it means they are better able to search, after all.
[Text]
[But he does appreciate the kind words... he just has trouble expressing them back.]
Guess I don't have much of a choice. Don't suppose there's any chance this is all a bad dream after eating too much bear meat?
[Text]
You, as a healer, will be much appreciated on whatever ship you choose to join.

You have a violin? I play the violin! I bought my guitar here, so I'm sure you could get a new one if you can't find your own.
*Yup, just casually ignoring all that other stuff for now*

really liked itkind of miss itit was probably expensive or something. Forget it, it's not important.
[Yes, he did write those out and then did a desperate attempt to pretend he didn't.]

*Selphie noticed that, and giggled at it, but she's not going to draw too much attention to it*
But musical instruments ARE important!

Brady darling? Is that truly you?
[A pause as Maribelle eyes his words again.]
No, there's no question it's you. I know of no other who can match my penmanship, yet still manage to write like a hooligan. I'll meet you by the fountain momentarily.
[Written]
And I can tell it's you, ma, always able to ignore the important stuff in favor of the snooty stuff. Yeah, I'll be at the fountain, I won't move.
[And as soon as he thinks he can get away with it... Here come the tears. Ma's here! And she's okay!]
[Written/Action]
I'll take that as a compliment darling.
[No more text is forthcoming, but if Brady is keeping his eyes open he might spot Maribelle coming around a corner with her hands mysteriously behind her back.]
Brady dear!
[She calls out to him waving her Parasol in the air with one hand, the other still behind her back. She then reveals that in her other hand is a steaming tea pot, because there's nothing quite like a family reunion with tea.]
[Action]
I guess I could use a cup of somethin' to wake me up... This whole experience feels like some strange dream.
I'm... I'm real glad you're okay, Ma.
[Action]
I'm so glad you're okay too darling... I've missed you terribly in the time that I've been stuck here.
[Okay... Maribelle might have a few tears in her eyes, but that's just from dust!]

Oh! Brady, you're here now too? Awesome!
Oh, this is Henry, by the way!
written;
How is this in any way awesome? At least tell me you're safe and sound.
written;
[Sorry, Brady, there's not even a little sanity here. You'll have to deal with creepiness instead.]
Yeah, I'm fine! Well... There was that incident with the door and then when I got stabbed... But I'm good now, so whatever!
written;
You were stabbed?! By the gods, at least tell me you got healed up since then!
written;
But yeah, I'm healed now! It took a little longer than usual 'cause we didn't have a healer, but I managed just fine!
[...It's a miracle he hasn't gotten himself killed yet, actually.]

Voice
Your violin? [She can pick out words here and there.]
Voice
Yeah. Guess that Jones guy stole it, along with the rest of my stuff, when he dropped me off in this wasteland.
Voice
I am sorry to hear that, my lord. If I may be of some help, you can go to a place called the Blackwater Brig and see if you can get your items from the shopkeeper there.
Voice
Yeah, w-well, I'll check it out later. Right now I'm looking for more important things, like my family and the rest of the folks from the army.
Voice
Your family? ..... My lord.... Hopefully you will find them but please.... Do not set your hopes up too high.
