Interesting how it's already just over a month since I, Mr. Denzel Crocker! Have arrived at this 'place'. A place which acts like a vortex but that's besides the point!
I have to admit I do miss the glow of a computer screen as technology here is at least a century behind leaving only the bare necessities of primitive tooling... but I can last... I think.
It’s strange not waking up with an alarm clock or having my usual cups of coffee and not teaching. As much as I despise those children... But aftre thirteen years of the same routine and yet somehow my life is still being ruled by a woman.
Oh, well. At least she lets me 'tinker' around as I please. No more needing to hide my lab beneath the school And there’s magic here! Wishing magic! But I have yet to learn the extent of its power compared to those – FAIRIES from home.
I can’t say I miss home exactly - Outside of more modern technologyand her. Even here I think about her perhaps I’m doomed to hopelessly love her forever. Our captain wants to be my friend and that’s more than I could ever ask for...
At least so far outside of missing crewmates and a shipment, life has been rather quiet. For now...
Can’t say I’m exactly 'thrilled' with being pulled into battle. I hope I live another year. I may just have to learn how to use a weapon.
[Private to Marco]
It's been awhile since we've last spoken.
(Strikes visible.)

[Oh, nearly caught her there! The last thing Codi wants to do is tell Crocker to "do something about it." Not when she has him so neatly tucked in the palm of her hand. Nice try, Denzel.]
...Never mind. Old habits die hard, huh? But it's not so bad!

Yes, suppose what they say is true. You can't teach an old dog new tricks.
[Grumble grumble. Though the saying isn't that true it can happen... In time.]

[...Nice save? Maybe?]
