Okay, so!

I need someone who resembles some kind of competence at using a ship to help figure out how to work some of this stupid thing.

Is this seriously only powered by wind? How can you go in any direction except, you know, getting blown around? That doesn't seem like it'd make for very practical travel.

We will. I promise. If we really have that much trouble, I can see if we can't find someone to hire to help us with the ship until we figure it out. So don't worry, Rita. We'll be okay.

I'm not sure we really have a choice. They won't let us stay on the Island forever. So we'll need to head out to sea eventually, Rita. But we'll figure it out. We always manage.

It's not some race, Rita. Everyone has their moments. Even Yuri.

I've gotta prove my worth in the context of this place. And right now, that means being the one who figures out how those sails work!

You don't need to prove anything, Rita. We all know you're capable. You're a lot smarter than I am when it comes to the Blastia back home! You're famous for all your research.

[But Estelle knows this is likely irrelevant and not going to stop Rita working away. She'll just. Be checking in each night before bed on her friend to make sure she gets some rest.]

... That's sort of the problem. There's not many of them here. Ours, and that's basically it. So most of what I know isn't of much use here.

I've got to learn more of the local magic, too. That's not going to be easy, obviously.

Well. maybe not. But maybe I could help? I'm sure I could find some books about it to help us learn about this magic. But you're right. I guess what we know of the blastia back home might not be so useful here....it seems like the magic here is different.

And some of it doesn't seem to be magic at all. Like actually moving the ships.

So... Yeah. This isn't gonna be easy.

I'm not sure if the ships need magic, just...the wind with the sails? But perhaps you can figure something out if you learn more about this magic that might help. That would be wonderful! But I don't expect it, so there's no pressure, Rita. Just take your time and learn what you can. There's so much this place can offer us to see and do and learn! With people from so many different places and everything.

I'm going to need a proper lab. Maybe we should take over some out-of-the-way island to use as a sturdy land base or something.

... We'd need more people to do that though.

Hm. It would need to be somewhere central if we were to have a land base. Somewhere we could also stock up and rest too, that isn't too far out of the way. But I'm sure we'll figure that sort of thing out later, once we have more money for it.

True that. Money makes the world go round way too much for my tastes, still...

Well, it makes sense. We need it to get supplies and food and things. How else would we manage? We don't really have anything much to exchange if we were to trade for something instead of paying.

This was one of the things I liked about Aspio. No need to worry about that sort of thing, everything was provided for.

I suppose not. You had a lot of things taken care of for you there. I guess I was the same, living in the castle most of my life too.

And now I'm out here figuring out how to stock a boat I don't even know how to pilot.

There are plenty of stores around. We just need to have a look around more. It'll be fine! I'm sure of it. With us all working together, I mean. We'll figure out getting more money as we go, I guess. To get any more supplies we might need, and restock on food regularly....

Yeah... We're gonna need Yuri or Raven to help keep everything organized, huh?

Well, yes. I would prefer to have them stay and be able to help us if possible. But I understand we don't get any say in whether or how long our friends might remain here...
