I just wanted to speed it up a little!
[Korra's voice is panicked as her journal is whipped open. She isn't even directing the words specifically at the open book, now.]
Asami, just- Try to get more water! Or something! We can't afford burn through all of the fresh barrels, either!
[There's definitely something going on in the background. The clanging of pots and pans, the wild shuffling of (two?) makeshift pirates, and... is that a fire crackling? Finally, Korra's voice is loud and clear over the journal.]
Guys, we need some help down in the kitchen! We... I... kind of set it on fire. Like. Really on fire. [Then she's gone again for a moment-] And if anyone not on the ship can hear this... Advice?? Please?! [There's only so much water to be bent at her disposal.]

This "kitchen on a pirate ship" stuff is still kinda new! If it wasn't obvious, I don't exactly cook around here!

Just try to keep at bay until...you'd think salt would be easy to find in a kitchen.
[Or even baking soda. Because so far she hasn't come across either]

[She's separating what flames she can with bending, but the great disadvantage to firebending is that once it's there... You can't just make it go away. Why can't a firebender do that?!
Korra's going to have to take that up with a Lionturtle. The salt, though...]
There should be a barrel of it for preserving food somewhere!
