[With all the commotion of Konoha-nin showing up and then disgusting mind-controlling candy showing up directly after them, Sasuke has nearly forgotten about the other encounter he had on Empieza the day he met his former teammates -- but there's finally been a lull, and he's perched as high in the rigging as he can go without the journal blowing out of his hands when he remembers.]

Has anyone seen this?



[Believe it or not, he has actually put effort into this drawing, but a dragon is not a battle diagram.]

It was looking for a skinny kid with brown hair.

A -- [Seriously? Naruto may have gotten stronger in terms of raw power, but clearly his brain development has been left by the wayside as a consequence.]

A what? How is it that your brain hasn't developed past the age of twelve?

[obstinates]

[Pffffft. Naruto finally stops laughing and just looks annoyed at that for a bit. Then he just starts laughing once more.]

At least my drawings have developed past the age of twelve.

If you make a claim like that without backing, it's just empty words.

[obstinates]

I could back it up in no time. C'mon, I used to draw stuff all over the village, y'know.

[thethundersaid]

[He has to think back to remember what those drawings were like, but once he does he levels Naruto with a deeply unimpressed look.]

You scrawled random symbols in paint. I'm not seeing any proof there.

[obstinates]

They weren't random. They took a lot of planning and thought, y'know.

[Most of the time. Anyways, he opens up his journal and starts to ignore Sasuke as he starts to draw, sitting cross-legged and sticking his tongue out a bit in concentration as he does so.]

[Sasuke makes a noise that makes it obvious just how much stock he puts into Naruto's claim that the graffiti around town was more than just scribbles. That Naruto is apparently actually trying to prove his claim makes him raise an eyebrow, unseen, at whatever it is -- he's too far up to see it -- and deliver a cool:]

I'll believe it when I see it.

[And he heads back up into the rigging, clearly not expecting anything soon.]

[obstinates]

[Look in your journal now, Sasuke.]



[Also look down at the proudest motherfucking ninja ever.]

[He sees it, but then he looks at it a couple more times, and then he writes in the margen next to the picture:]

This looks like a noodle with feet.

[obstinates]

[Written as well with him staring upwards with the biggest frown ever.]

[... really? Seriously? He's not even going to dignify that with a response.

He's not.

Except this, written because he's too far to call it down without sounding more invested than he is:]

Are you twelve years old?

[obstinates]

[Sasuke, your answer is having Naruto seemingly ignore you while he leans back against the mast and scratches his head.

With his middle finger extended.]

[... Naruto is still twelve. He may be taller and undeniably stronger, but clearly his brain has stayed the same size and is possibly taking more damage from rattling around the extra space left by the growth of his skull.

Sasuke is tempted to say this, but he's far too mature to engage in this sort of thing.

He does mutter in a voice that might be heard before he closes his journal:]

I can't believe he's still this ridiculous.
