[After getting over the initial freaking out at suddenly being dumped in some strange place without warning, wondering what happened, and eventually figuring out where she is and how the journal works and what it's for... Sakura writes in her journal.

This handwriting is a bit sloppy -- only because the writer is obviously in a hurry to get their thoughts out on paper.]

I'm looking for someone that fits this description:

Blond
Male
17 years old
Wears a lot of orange
Should have an open incision on his left side, around his serratus.

[A quick diagram of a body with an arrow pointing at his left side just under the arm.]

If anyone has seen someone like that, please contact me. It's a medical emergency and he needs urgent care.

[The FUCK? You are really freaking him out. It's not hard to get his jacket and mesh out of the way since it's mostly in tatters anyways, but he does put up a little bit of a confused struggle and just stares off to the side, cheeks slightly red.]

Ehhhhhh, Sakura-chan, I know the hero always gets the girl, but this is kinda weird right now...

[This is not the time!!! She is just IGNORING HIS RIDICULOUSNESS and pressing her fingers to the inside of his wrist, dropping his jacket.

And there's the feeling of a pulse. Probably the best thing she's ever experienced. Her eyes sting with relief and she's not even sure how he's completely healthy and utterly himself. She doesn't remember arriving at their destination or having the other half of the nine tails sealed in him.

What happened?

She reaches up to wipe at her eyes quickly, dropping his arm.]

Sorry. I am being weird, aren't I? [He probably doesn't remember either.]

Very weird--

[Uh, wait, he probably shouldn't say it like that. At least she hasn't WHACKED him yet. In any case, it's not the first time he's had his vitals taken by a medic -- as dense as he is, even he understands that's what she's doing, but he's still too dense to put two and two together from before.]

--not that it's a big deal! Uhhh, do you know where we are?

[TOO RELIEVED HE'S OKAY TO BE ANGRY OR PUNCHY RIGHT NOW, though as always he's balancing on the tip of a knife with Sakura. Her eyes narrow just a little at his 'very' before he corrects himself.]

An island called Isla Empieza. Or that's what it says in this journal. [HOLDS UP HER OWN]

More importantly, where is everyone? [They had an ARMY of soliders fighting and a lot of stuff was happening.]

I dunno. I didn't sense anybody I know.

[There's a little shrug from him. He's got his own journal tucked in his pocket.]

Guess we should keep looking, especially if somebody's hurt.

[She's more concerned about Naruto. Everyone else was just running on fumes (THAT SHE KNEW OF) and they needed a soldier pill or two and lots of rest.]

Right. There has to be someone else. So many people couldn't just disappear.

[Her feet shift to start walking, on the road again to find the rest of the army on this island. It's when they're walking and Sakura has time to think that she finally asks;]

Do you feel... different?

[his bijuu WAS EXTRACTED he was DYING she is so DUBIOUS THAT HE'S ACTUALLY OKAY because WHAT IS HAPPENING]

[She is acting so weird or asking weird questions at least. He just glances at her from the side as he walks with her.]

Hungry. Does that count?

[NO. But it's normal. That's good. Hungry is good.

HE'S the one acting weird for having his bijuu extracted.]

Not if it's for ramen.

I could really go for some ramen...

[And his stomach growls as he presses a hand to it.]

... but I'll eat plenty once we figure out where everyone is and seal that other bastard, y'know. I can't sense anybody's chakra at all.

[Idiot. When DIDN'T he want ramen?

Sakura wasn't much of a sensor. She was much better at controlling chakra instead of sensing. But even she could tell that it was strangely quiet here.]

Me either, and everyone here is so friendly and peaceful. I think most of the countries knew what was going on with the war by now. They wouldn't be like this...

We should find a map too. That will help us find out where we are exactly. I read something about a shop called Backwater Brig. We should find what we need there.

Oh, I didn't read about that.

[He didn't really read anything except that the books would be helpful in communication. At least the urgency isn't too great since they've stopped Obito and pulled all the bijuu from him. That other guy, Madara, can't be harder than that, right? Especially with dad and the First Hokage and everybody working together.

Hahahah.]

Alright, let's find the Backwater Brig!

[She's not surprised.

With Naruto here though, the urgency and the desperation has been taken down quite a few notches. But she was still worried about everyone else. They couldn't help, way over here and with nothing familiar in sight.]

Let's stick together for now, okay?

[MAY BE MORE PROTECTIVE THAN USUAL FOR REASONS]

Yeah, I guess. Not like I know my way around this place by myself.

[Sakura usually figures things out pretty quickly anyways, so he has no problem with sticking together.]

Me either, but we're teammates.

[Sm...iles. Or tries because it's a little strained and tired and she remembers how LOW her chakra reserves are and how exhausted she is. Now that Naruto's okay, it hits her full force.]

We'll be able to figure it out together.

Hell yeah! Two-man cell!

[He's still got a shitload of adrenaline from beating Obito and fighting alongside Sasuke and all that cool shit, so he's pointing straight ahead and grinning like an idiot.

Then that grin fades a little.]

... Which way do we go?

[SO LOUD. But she needs his energy because she has none.

As Sakura walks by, she tugs his ear forward a little towards the shops in the distance and lots of people.]

This way. Someone is bound to tell us if we ask politely.

[Owowowow! He whines a bit as she tugs but then jumps ahead of her, partly to get her to let go of him and partly because he's in an energetic mood. Then he salutes the first dirty-ass local that walks by.]

Heya, which way to the Backwater Brig? And have you seen a Serratus guy around here anywhere?

[Before the dirty patron can answer (he's confused anyway) Sakura is pinching Naruto's serratus since he's fine and there's no scar or incision or anything and he's being dumb. She cut into it she's allowed to pinch it too.]

Nevermind him! We're just looking for the Backwater Brig, not anyone named Serratus because a serratus is a muscle!

[NARUTO THAT'S DIREcTED AT YOU]

Owwwwwwwwww!?

[He shoots a glare over at Sakura and jumps to the side a bit before rubbing at his poor side.]

But muscle-guy is hurt! Geez!

[He's imagining a huge, musclebuilder now.]

The only one she was looking for is RIGHT NEXT TO HER. She just ignores him, turning to the local to ask where the store is. They point down the street and Sakura nods her thanks before she beckons Naruto forward and down the street again]

Nobody is hurt. [She pauses.]

Not that I know of anyway. Which is why we need to find a map and figure out a way back to the battlefield as soon as possible.

[Everything about this place is bothering her.]

[Nobody is hurt?]

Then why did you lie to the book?

[Have some grumbling and more side rubbing.]

[Blinks.]

[Oh. For a while, Sakura doesn't say anything, eyes locked on their destination.

Could he really not piece together who it was? He wasn't... that much of an idiot, was he? She has her out when she can make out the sign for the store.]

Ah, look! There it is.

[Luckily for Sakura, he has the attention span of a gnat. So he perks up a bit and heads towards the store.]

Don't lag behind, Sakura-chan. Almost there, y'know!

[Pros and cons.

She's so tired but she picks up the pace a little, jogging behind him.]

I'm not!

[NEVER AGAIN

But Sakura is the one to push open the door, step inside, and look around at all the stuff. That's a lot of stuff.]
