I would call this a dream if I ever even considered the thought of being a pirate, but let's be honest, Ninja's are cooler.

Now don't go slitting my throat, I'm just joking. But all of this does feel like I found myself on the set to some weird TV show. Except it’s far too expansive and as far as I can see there's no camera's around. So this leaves me with the conclusion that this may be some mental disorder caused by lack of sleep and the crazy shit that has become my life...or I've been transported from Japan back to the past and landed on what I'll assume to be a Caribbean island, and one where all the locals can speak Japanese.

...Personally I'm leaning towards delusion myself.

But in the case this is in fact reality, I suppose I better get on with it and find some work.

So who of you is in need of medical attention?

First 20 to step up can pay in Cigarettes.

Cause I could really use one about now, and ten more after that.

[SUP TOSHIO. One of your crew members is curious to meet you. He blinks down at the entry as it's being written, then--

Oh, he just spied the writer of it!

By the time it's finished being written, Sora is approaching Toshio.]

Is this one by you?

[He holds his journal up, pointing to the entry.]

[Toshio heard the kid start coming up behind him but didn't realize his purpose until he was showing his own entry to his face.]

[He leans back in his chair and puts the..."Pen" down before turning to the brat.]

Yeah.

[he tilts his head giving him a curious glance.]

There has to be some kind of magic involved with these journals. Anyway, What's up...?

[Had he learned this kid's name yet? Not sure he did.]

[Maybe a somewhat familiar, sarcastic voice coming through the journal would be nice.]

Medical attention? I don't think anyone in our crew needs that right now, however I'd say there's a position for someone capable of it on our ship.

[Why is Natsuno's voice coming out of his journal?]

Look, if you're going to haunt anyone, haunt Seishin and his run away vampire bride.

...And what ship is this?

[Oh hello, that's not the voice he was expecting.]

Do I even want to know about this vampire bride, Ozaki-sensei?

[A little snort.]

We actually have two ships, the Sun and the Moon. It's a large crew full of people who hurt themselves. You'd be busy.

[Oh?]

Was that a laugh I heard? Are you really Natsuno?

I honestly can't tell you more than that, so let's say no, you don't.

[He can't believe he's about to say this....]

So uh, how are things?

I'm listenin', Natsuno. Who is this guy?

[Was expecting him to put down the journal so you may hear a sudden movement.]

Hm? Well...I'm alive.

What happened with you?

[He appreciates being saved the trouble of trying to find Ace.]

He's a person from Sotoba, an ally of mine, sort of. He was the doctor for the town, from what I know he's very competent at it, although I didn't have much opportunity to visit him in that capacity. Tohru-chan spoke highly of his skills. I was working with him before I came here on destroying vampires.

Well, when I left we hadn't implemented our plan yet, but we were about to. It wasn't long after I bit you, however that was five months or so ago I've been here since.

[Ace had to keep tabs somehow, while he was away from the ship. Spending all his time with old mobsters kept him busy.]

Oh, so he's a doctor? Well, that'll take some stress off of Leanne. Think he'd work well with us, Natsuno?

[Although he had chastised him back then, Natsuno was the one to bring awareness to him about the shiki.]

Is this place real? To be transported so suddenly and from different time lines even...

I just left Sotoba with the other survivors.

[He's not sure if he should tell Natsuno everything that happened or not.]

[Flashing a bit of a smile, he's closing his journal and shoving it into his pocket--he should be doing more to keep up with this thing.

Alas, he's more used to juggling everything else while Jiminy took care of that part.]

Yeah, I figure that's what it is. There's really no other explanation I can think of! [Small laugh.] I just wanted to introduce myself, though. I'm Sora! What's your name?

[He thinks about this for a moment.]

I think he could adjust to it. He'd probably get along well with Logan, maybe Thatch too. I don't know what his sailing experience is like, considering that wasn't really the kind of thing we talked about.

[He exhales.]

He cares about the people he's charged with, a lot, and I think that would transfer over well to our crew. You can't really deny we get into a lot of trouble, either.

The place is real, it would seem. I've been here for awhile, as I said. Most people are looking to find their way back home. I landed myself a really good crew.

[Well well well, isn't that interesting.]

So...what uh, happened then?

[He's curious.]

...[smiles] Sounds good.

I guess it's not so bad; I had to go underground anyway.

[For a while he stays quiet.]

I don't think discussing that here is a good idea.

But if they had won, do you think I would be talking to you now?

Yo, I'm sure you listened, but--

This is Ace, the Spades' Captain.

And I guess this doesn't bother you at all. [It's just scientifically possible, Sora. He's not sure how to feel about that. Part of him wants to disect his own.]

[Oh well, that's something to think about later. He pushes himself away from the desk with his foot and turns to face Sora, reaching a hand out to him.]

My names Ozaki Toshio, call me Toshio. [Smiles] Good to meet you, Sora.

Of course, I'm sure he wouldn't mind talking to you.

[Well maybe, Natsuno doesn't really know.]

[Natsuno pauses for a moment.]

That's fine. Some other time then. [He's curious, mostly.]

This place isn't terrible, but it's a very different kind of place from Sotoba. Constant travel, fighting the Navy, partying, of which I do very little. [As in, none.]

I've learned a variety of new skills.

Sorry for ease dropping, but I don't really know how to put this thing on mute.

So, the question is whether I call you Ace or Captain…

[He pauses, and then gets straight to it.]

What would you like to know?

Not really. I'm kind of used to magic, actually. [Laughs almost in a matter-of-fact way.]

Nice to meet ya, Toshio. [He takes the hand to shake it.]

[If he does he's not about to show it. Nut nah, he doesn't mind really.]
