Backdated to the morning of the 27th. [Voice/Action for Spades]
[Why oh why is she feeling such misery? Her head was pounding and her whole entire body seemed bent on punishing her. All she had was just that one cup. But just that one cup did this to her? Arggggh, so much groaning and moaning now.
Naesala's torn between feeling sorry for her situation and irritation that it came to this in the first place. He silently passes her a glass of water and motions for her to drink.
She blinks at the drink and moves to sit up, taking the glass and a slow sip. "Naesala..... Just what is this sake drink?" Cause she is never having it again.... ever Cue in another groan and a sip.
He keeps his voice low to minimize her suffering. "An alcoholic drink our captain should not have given you."
You are being so sweet, Naesala and she is grateful for that. "But he said that it was a proper way to welcome in new crew and I did not wish to step on either his kindness or welcome." One last sip.
"Saying 'no' isn't stepping on his kindness, it's letting him know of your limitations." Not to mention what she can't eat, negative chaotic energy... He sighs and takes the glass from her when she's ready.
"This.... I think will be the only time I will do something like this. I keep forgetting that beorcs don't know herons." She smiles as he takes the glass from her and waits a few minutes before leaning on him.
He lets her without any outward fuss. If only because of how miserable she sounds. "Believe me, I will make sure this doesn't happen again. Maybe have a nice discussion with the captain."
Yup, he does make the best pillow. Ravens are forever the best pillows. And she doesn't quite like that tone either. "Just be sure to be nice to him." A soft chuckle with some chirps. "But I know that you will keep me safe, Naesala."
Safe from alcohol and idiots, sure. "I'll do what I can. In the meantime...what is it beorc say? 'Sleep it off'?"
"Thank you...." She blinks and nods before moving in to start snuggling and cuddling him. "Sleep it off huh?"
"Or something similar." He lets out a sigh through his nose and lets her get comfortable, hoping heron hangovers weren't as bad or long-lasting as human ones.
[ooc; Sake + Herons = one hangover bird princess. Italics are Naesala so be prepared to have both respond.]

I told him not to. I'm going to strangle him.
[Whistles in phoenix:] Are you all right Princess?
Naesala, please make sure she has plenty of water or regular juice. Effects like this are much like getting too much sun. [Dehydration needs to be a word in avian, but whatever.]
no subject
[Urgh.....] I think so.... I haven't known sickness that is caused by drinking something.
[Forever comfy where she is at currently. Just gonna let out a few chirps.]
no subject
[A-Aw not sad chirps they are too cute, he can't.]
I won't hurt him, but I'm very angry with him.
Ace has trouble remembering that not everyone grew up the same way he and our Pops did.
Audio; Private
Fine. I'll go to her for healin', but I won't humor her anymore. I dunno what the big deal is, but you're pissin' me off, actin' like I'm gonna ruin her life!
[Thus, the sound of a keg shattering on the Strawhat's deck.]
Audio; Private
[Quit being a baby, Ace!]
Audio; Private
And, I don't wanna change my behavior.
If that's the case, then I'll back away. I dunno what's so special about this lady that I'm suddenly somebody you can't trust, 'cause I don't remember you actin' like this for the rest of the crew members we recruited.
Audio; Private 1/2
Audio; Private 2/3 NUMBERS ARE HARD OKAY
I trust you Ace, but you -- [To say he's dangerous isn't fair. And not the full story. And worse, Marco has a good idea of just how much that might hurt Ace. he can't help being who he is.]
Audio; Private 3/3
You don't have to change, but you're always going to be a wildfire. [And that's dangerous, and he doesn't want her to get burned. How does he explain it...] Our wildfire, but that's a-- Difficult thing to adjust to.
If Leanne wishes learn more about beorcs, I'm glad she will have such a protective teacher like you, but I'm going to worry about you both because you're headstrong, and she doesn't know how to refuse such things yet.
I love that people get caught in your pace, Ace, but Leanne has no way of knowing when it's too much yet.
Understood?
Audio; Private
It didn't help that he was suddenly beginning to gulp down more rum.]
Fine. [He still didn't get it. He figured, if Marco didn't think someone was capable of handling him, why did they get invited into their crew?
But, Ace wasn't willing to doubt Marco's judgement.]
I'll be good. But, I don't like it. I toasted with her and said she was a member of my crew. Why's it feel like I'm goin' back on that?
Audio; Private
You're right.
I'm sorry. I misjudged you both. I thought you were being more reckless than a single toast.
I don't want you to stop being her Captain, Ace. Nor her friend.
[But Marco worries. That's what Marco DOES. That's who he is. He'd scold Whitebeard more if he didn't have so much respect for his judgement.]
But I can't help being your first mate, got it?
If you want, we can discuss this more when you get back.

[A few more chirps.]
Please do not fully blame him as it was also my choice.
no subject
[Although damn that's a small amount by Marco's standards. No wonder Ace thought it would be okay.]
Do you have water or fruit juice with you?
no subject
I have water..... Naesala has been tending to me.
no subject
Very well then, I'll apologize to Ace for my temper. Not all drinking has these consequences, but --
Are you familiar with berries gone bad?
no subject
Berries? I believe that the forest has told me about once during my slumber.
no subject
[She's so innocent.]
[Iyaaan.]
Ah, never mind. I think you've learned your comfort level with it.

I may not be in a position of authority, here, but I must say if you go ahead and strangle him first it hardly leaves enough for me to do.
no subject
Well, since Leanne is entrusted in your care, and I promised not to kick his tailfeathers just yet, how would you like to punish him? So long as it is not too much, I'll even make sure to hold him down for you.
no subject
[soft, frustrated noise] You know what, forget it for now. It'd upset Leanne and I'm not risking worsening this.
no subject
You know what you should really do? Prank him.
He'll even respect that.
no subject
You're not joking, are you.
no subject
[God damn it Nissan-Mazda! You help him prank their captain or he doesn't even know you anymore.]
no subject
How in the world could that possibly help the situation?
