[The first thing that is heard is the ending sound of an explosion followed by the sound of flames creeping in the background. Voices are heard, but most of them are clearly away from the journal that is accidentally recording it all. There's a lot of yelling, cries of pain mixed with ones of rage, coupled with the metallic sounds of swords being dragged and firearms being charged. Ikki's voice is heard then, closer to the journal but not speaking directly to it.]

Hn, seems that this time it's a decent sized one. They are at least well prepared with their weapons.

You two! What the hell do you think you're doing?! Do you know who are you picking a fight with?

[Several voices raise in a chorus for the man who just spoke, the pained ones drowned by the ones claiming for blood and revenge.]

Who said we're picking a fight with you. We're just here to destroy you, no one is going to miss another pirate ship.

You have some nerve rookies! Kill them!!! Let them regret it when they meet Davy Jones!!

I really would like to meet that guy, you know. Are you done, Selphie?

[There's a huff and a sigh, closer and clearer than any other sound as Ikki steps forward and the pirates start attacking. Selphie's voice then can be heard clearly indicating that she's the one holding the journal open.]

On my way! So much for touching base with the crew.

[The last words, albeit heard are obviously muted and soon followed by a loud thud as the journal falls. The sound of quick steps joins the battling sounds that now fill the area and a cracking noise can be heard as Selphie conjures up a thundara spell.]

[30 minutes later or so...]

[The sounds of battle are still going on in the background when Selphie's voice sounds directly to the journal again.]

Hi. Spades. It's Selphie. I know... that some of you might..never want to see me again but I'm - I'm sailing around with Ikki some. We'll be heading back soon... So yeah, in case anyone was worrying about him, he's here with me. And he's fine.

(ooc: Replies will come from both Selphie and Ikki! If you want only one of them just state so in the subject!)

[That bit is mostly to Selphie, though the next part is for Asami as well.]

No need, we will just follow the vivre cards. Marco reminded me of how they work when he decided to hold his hair hostage.

[Uh...and...She says that frowning, not it can be seen. Obviously that isn't helpful, she's more just making small talk]

[There's actually a low chuckle followed by some pirate moaning in pain.]

Yes, the vivre cards, Ace got all of us one of each crew member. I have one for you so you should have them as well, I think the only ones who don't are the new recruits of this past month.

[He doubts Ace had much state of mind to get care of that after all.]

[Oh! Asami's in her room so give a sec to fumble through her drawer and-]

You mean these torn pieces of paper?

[She supposes no one had much of a chance to explain it all to her and she didn't ask, though she really should have now that she thinks back on it]

So...how do they work?

[What is magic even]

Grab the one that has my name on it and just place it on top of your open hand.

[If she does correctly the paper should start moving slightly on its own, signaling the direction he's in.]

[She does so and now the paper is pointing in the direction Ikki and Selphie are. That was surprisingly easy. She changes the way she's facing just to make sure she did it correctly]

That's...really amazing.

I keep forgetting they do that, but right now it's quite handy. We will use them as a compass to get to you lot. Just try to not spread out too much.

[A pause.]

We will be bringing supplies and things with us.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not planning on moving anywhere. I'll tell the others that might not have seen the entry though.

Good, then they can wait for us with the weapons ready to hit us.

[Just joking.]

[A small laugh]

I'll make sure they don't do that.

[She goes along with the joke, even if might be a little hard to tell]

Not that I can think of. But you might want to get more food.

I think we have got that covered, this isn't the first ship we assault and we haven't been wasting supplies by leaving them there.

That's all well and good, but-

I didn't really keep the count. They were all pirate ships, though, don't go thinking we attacked innocents.

[More than two, that's for sure.]

[It didn't even cross her mind]

Kind of, we needed to release some anger so we went to look for a fight. It also serves to bring the point home about what the captain said.

[Two birds with one stone, kind of. But even if Ace hadn't said that he would have gone, heck they got to it before Ace said anything.]
