voice. Private to the Spades
Come hell or high water, we're shipping out on Saturday. Probably in the early evening. If you wish to stay behind you may but there's no promises we'll be able to return. Our plans are to pick up the coral as we see it, blast the hell out of the fortress when we can and get in--getting rid of anything or anyone in our way until we find a way to lift this curse.
In order to cover more ground, Sun and Moon will be heading in opposite directions. If you wish to remain behind, let someone know. Otherwise we need repair work done and done quickly. Come to me or Namur for supply lists.
Our captain will be taken care of so don't worry about him.
If you have questions, ask, but don't waste my time.

[Voice]
[and regarding...everything that happened...He'll whistle softly]
I'm sorry.
We'll get that thing dead
[Voice]
[The whistle makes him pause for a moment. Why is Thatch doing that? Ikki has reasons to want that witch dead, but he's not the one to whom people should say those words, even through empathy. Selphie was possessed by that woman, but it was Ikki who killed her. Of course he hasn't really said it so he doesn't know what they know, he doesn't know if anyone found their burned corpses while he was "out" and no one has really said a word either.
Ikki doesn't like to whistle, it's nothing personal or important, he just would feel silly normally. He still feels that way, but he whistles back anyway.]
I know.
It's not me the one to whom you should say that, though.
[Voice]
[he's never quite got the uncomfortable vibe from him or he would stop. But to him it's how those like Marco think. Whistling is good for moments when emotion is too hard to process with voices and human minds]
I'll say it anyway. She played your hand as easily as she played everyone elses.
[Voice]
[If explained that way, Ikki would agree and would finally get where the whistling to him comes from. He still answers anyway.]
No, my hand was my own. I made a choice by my own mind, I could have refused to play her game.
I will deal with the consequences after she's dead.
[Voice]
[he considers how to reply to the other]
Don't be too hard on yourself. Remember, Miss Selphie would miss you and she has quite a load on her mind as well.
[Voice]
[The next words, or whistles rather, make him tense and there's a long pause before anything else comes from his end.]
You assume that she's alive, but just because the others returned it doesn't mean she would. She died supposedly as an enemy of Davy Jones.
Even if she was alive, she will probably hate me more for doing that to her.
[Voice]
Fair enough. Though I advise you not to guess a woman's mind before she tells you it.
[that way leads to disaster. In any case, it'll be the last he says on the matter]
Anything you need from me, Ikki?
[Voice]
[To not guess a woman's mind... But is it really a guess when it's just the only logical answer?]
If you need anything from me just call.
