Come hell or high water, we're shipping out on Saturday. Probably in the early evening. If you wish to stay behind you may but there's no promises we'll be able to return. Our plans are to pick up the coral as we see it, blast the hell out of the fortress when we can and get in--getting rid of anything or anyone in our way until we find a way to lift this curse.

In order to cover more ground, Sun and Moon will be heading in opposite directions. If you wish to remain behind, let someone know. Otherwise we need repair work done and done quickly. Come to me or Namur for supply lists.

Our captain will be taken care of so don't worry about him.

If you have questions, ask, but don't waste my time.

[She whistles, waving down from on top of the crow's nest.]

What do you have for me?

[he'll give her a list. Mostly it's transporting heavy goods and bringing the metal to meld]

How many of these things can you make anyway?

Well that depends. My mana bonds aren't the strongest right now. For now I think I could make two that are about your size. Or one that's about twelve feet tall. Or a little pack of imps. Maybe a human sized one and some imps. I can manage a phoenix or a spitfire as well, but that'd knock me on my butt for an hour or two.

In time, once I've gotten more used to the world that could increase though. Maybe a month or two. I'm working from scratch here, really, and conjuring takes a lot of mana to get right. Working straight evocation is much, much easier.

[that doesn't sound too bad. He's not entirely sure what those things are but human sized could do a lot and even imps can be useful. Though that's not really his area anymore. Hell if he knows what Ace even wants to do in these waters but for right now...]

Do you think they'd be a help or a hindrance when we go up against this ...whatever the hell she is?

She's a mage. I encountered her myself, got up close and personal.

[At least, that was her experience.]

And if it's one thing I know about mages that aren't Planeswalkers, it's that they tend to fall apart under physical pressure. I'd say they'd be a help.

Let me ask you another question, Miss Chandra. [he moves to perch on the railing, mostly so he won't tower over her quite so much] You said you had to get used to this world to build up you...mana...right? If you didn't use any of it now, how much would you have by the time we go against her. Say...it takes two weeks?

Two weeks? [She follows, leaning back against the railing and looking up at the sky, expression thoughtful. Clearly, she was expecting something immediate.]

Well, I used a lot of it getting here. I never really recovered after dealing with Sarkon. And then I pretty much slagged the witch...and that wasted a bunch more.

[She won't get into Selphie, that'd just been a mess too.]

In two weeks, I'd have enough for seven or eight of the really big ones. Or enough raw juice to crack the continental shelf, if I was willing to drain myself into unconsciousness. For about a week.

[he chuckles a bit] I don't want to be cracking anything so big, sweet lady. Earthquakes in the sea aren't a pretty sight if you don't know what to do with a tsunami and I'm betting few of these bastards do. [though he says bastards without heat]

But I think seven or eight big ones could help us out, if you're willing to shore up your energy for that long. We can take care of the heavy lifting through manual labor. What else do you need? Any special kind of food or drink?

I'd hope not. That's excessive even for me.

[And while she might like the idea of doing it sometime just to see what would happen, she doubts anyone would thank her. Plus, it'd probably kill her from the sheer strain. She's pretty bad about overestimating herself sometimes.]

As for what I need? Hot things. Spicy things. Anything warm will do, but I always feel better with something hot. Dunno if it makes a difference really, but it feels like it does.

Roger that. We'll get you set up no problem.
