Alright, so.

This week.

It's kind of been a shitty week.

I only had one crew member lose it, and it was probably one of the worst ones to do so.

[He pauses a bit, and notes to himself - that actually might have been the case with a LOT of the members of his crew. He didn't want to see what a crazed, homicidal Tojiko or older Link would do. Or Sasuke. Or... ugh, time to stop that train of thought right there.]

We've... [Hn.] Well, our ship's in one piece. We're nearing Empieza. We're stocking up.

Then we're moving out.

I know I've been talking to at least one of you guys about coordinating things. At first, I was thinking we'd have to track this Witch down, but... hey. Got something else to hunt, now.

The most we need to do is not be tripping over each other. Cover different parts of the ocean. And do it as fast as possible. And after that comes the real deal, dealing with the Witch.

If you're a Captain, or if you're in charge of your ship now 'cause your Captain's lost their mind... I wanna talk to you. Won't change whatever we're gonna do even if no one's in with us, but... Hey. It's there.

Meanwhile, if you need a ship to hold up on while all this is going down, or are new and need someplace the go... the Murderess has a bit of room. We'll take the help where we can get it.

Four. We had four. I am lucky to be alive right now. I'm not mobile for anything more complicated than looking for coral on the beach. We're returning to Isla Empieza ourselves for supplies and medicine.

...But when the time comes, Shepherd will be there. I'm not acting Captain - that's Colonel Curtiss - but if we're not going, I am. That's a promise.

[A slight pause.]

If it turns out your ship isn't, or can't, gonna be kicking down this witch's door- just say something.

I don't know how. We all fought on the beach. Had to hold off Heart and Rosetta without backup... then everyone else showed up... got a sword clean through my back. I think I blacked out... I remember getting up and fighting again, and then... nothing until yesterday afternoon. I woke up with bandages all around my top half and too tired to move.

Mana and Alice are locked up. I haven't checked on them... I know what I'd do if I saw them.

Then rest. Do what you've gotta, but rest. After all that, do you think you'll be able to get up and fight when the time comes? Somehow, I don't think your team would want you killing yourself over it, either. [Says the man who fought and won against an enemy more powerful than his entire team after taking a bomb to the face, nearly dying int he process. He clearly already knows the answer to this.]

...[Pauses for a beat.] That's got to be rough, but... that's for the best.

I'll manage. I didn't become a Precure to let someone else take over... when things get hard. [She hisses faintly as she shifts and puts pressure on one of her myriad bruises.] I'll try to rest a little between now and then, but the nightmares make that a little hard.

And really, you don't need to remind me about my friends. I... I had to do something a little terrible. I'm not sure I can look at them right now anyway.

Still. They're alive. You're alive. We can stop this, so whatever you had to do was "terrible" was worth it.

Mm... I know that. I know we can fix this, and I can apologize to them for what I did, and we'll all be happy idiots again. But... I don't feel it.
