Hey, uh.
[There it was, the pleasant and calm sound of the ocean as waves touched on the shore of Aeolipile.
Dave cleared his throat and spoke up. This was, of course, ten minutes after his suit was ruined beyond repair. Anyone watching the shoreline might have seen a big glowing green sphere rise up from the sea, Dave coming back to life in the middle of it. When it was all done, there was the red outline of a spinning gear hanging over the beach where Dave stood.]
Anybody else havin' a shitty day so far?

You?

Can't say for sure, though. I mean, I'm still not sure if it's a magical thing or if I legitimately just broke the last straw, there.

Y'know. I don't have time for context.
So NOW what're you doing?
Audio;
Audio;
The one who just killed you, I'm guessing.
[There's actually no judgment in that, he's kind of impressed, actually.]
Audio;
Trust me, I've dealt with mind control bullshit before. The one pullin' the strings? They're the real fuck-faces.
Audio;
Good luck, then.
Audio;
Good luck with your own crazies, if you've got 'em. Peace.

[Really Dave, why you gotta be inconsiderate and leave Loki to deal with the insane captain on his own. He's not equip to be looking after insane people and he's certainly not equip to looking after the well being a pregnant woman. B|]
audio
[Dave got up, stretching his arms and legs as he began to walk along the shore.
He couldn't hear Marco and Grell going nuts--not yet, anyway. He didn't think he had to worry about Loki getting killed, somehow. That guy was smart. The pregnant lady, though--
Well, that suddenly got Dave running. In the next instant, Dave went supersonic, flying straight up so he could see if the ship was in plain sight.]
no subject
[He's not even concerned for his life, he literally is more concerned with making sure they don't lose the ship. It would be a pain in the ass to get another one.]
no subject
Maybe someone on their crew could handle Grell. Still, that wasn't the end result he really wanted.]
Well, shit. I'll be there in a sec, dude.

[Today was certainly shaping up to be a mess and things had started out so well this morning.]
[audio]
[audio]
So fucking high, they opened a sequel to How High.
[audio]
Don't go.
[audio]
[Pregnant lady on the ship. All kinds of heroic bullshit flying through his head.]
Anyway, did I just say 'So fucking high, they opened a sequel to How High'? That was fucking terrible.
[audio]
[And he knows that doesn't mean it'll happen again. She probably just caught younger him off guard, but older him is not done freaking out yet.]
I'm just a little upset, ok? It bothers me when people go around killing outrageously handsome young dudes, like that was totally gratuitous and unnecessary and completely fucking uncalled for!
[audio]
So, he had to think it over. Alright, that guy was probably not too antiquated by the number of dead Daves that came with being the Knight of Time. So, he gave him a little slack.]
...It's a tough call. I was thinking of getting out of the whole Hero thing before I came here, but it just ain't in the cards anymore.
I'm not really cut out for this business. I'd love it if I could give this up to John or Jade. They'd probably jump at the chance to be badasses and save the day like they do all the time, but--
Ugh. Here I am, the Knight of Time and I gotta man up 'cause for some idiotic reason I think it's the right thing to do.
[audio]
[Yeah, he doesn't have much experience with dead Daves. Alpha Dave was really careful and most of the time there wasn't any need for them. There isn't isn't much that gets to him ether, but hearing his younger self die sure did. He's starting to calm down though.]
Just tell me this, do you think the rest of the crew can manage without you?
[audio]
Apparently, two of the captains here are fucking insane and about to kill everybody, mine included. We dunno how many people are gettin' mind controlled and how many more are gonna get in on the zombie psycho train. The conductor's fuckin' loose and irritable and we ain't got the keys to their car.
[His shrug could be heard in his voice.]
But, do they need me? I'm thinkin' they do. They need all the help they can get.
[audio]
[He doesn't sound sure about any of this, just resigned to both of their mutual fates.]
Just be careful, ok? And make time clones. Lots of fucking time clones. Make an army of them if you have to. No one can resist the Dave army we both know that.
[audio]
Time clones are always gonna be a thing, dude. This time I'm not gonna get caught off guard, but me bein' the one gettin' gutted ain't exactly my primary concern.
[Making sure the red-lady stayed alive was a pretty high docket on that list.]
But, hey. You keep non-crazy, yourself. Don't drink the putrid witch-brew, or whatever starts it.
[audio]
[Time clones are what he would've done so it's obviously what younger him is going to do too. Alpha Dave doesn't even know why he said anything. The last thing Beta Dave needs is some old, washed up version of himself giving him advice.
That isn't the only thing on Alpha Dave's mind though. He hasn't forgotten about Grell.]
I kinda picked a fight with her, so like... I'll back you up if she makes it over here, but who am I kidding you're gonna have the situation on lockdown long before that happens. Guess I'd better let you go.
[audio]
But, I got this. Badass chainsaw doesn't stack up to mystical welsh sword, so I guess I won't be that easy to fuck over in round 2.
[Though, his goal, as always--was to just subdue Grell.]
But, yeah. Peace, dude. I'll be fine.
