Third Hex ✶ Voice

[The first part of the message is just meant for the Shepherds, but Henry doesn't bother to make it private. Mostly because he's still a little too dizzy to remember how to do that again.]

So, uh... One of our doors is broken now. It's the one to Alice's room, specifically. I figured I should let someone know, because I'm pretty sure we should get that fixed!

We'll need to get new wood though, because my blood is on a few parts of it.

And also a piece of it is kind of lodged in my arm. So I don't think we can use that anymore.

[Should he have mentioned that part first? Oh well.]

I really hope that this curse or whatever ends soon! It's not nearly as much fun as the previous ones.

What happened to your arm?

[ She's still not sure how she feels about this guy, but of course she's going to be worried if he's got a piece of a door in his arm. ]

Oh, I was thrown through a door and then I guess a piece got stuck. It happens!

[Uh, no... No, it doesn't, Henry.]

Does that happen to you a lot?

[ Now she's not only unsure about this guy, she's unsure if she should be worried about him or not... or unsure if she should be worried about the door or worried what kind of lifestyle he leads that a door in his arm is normal.. ]

Well, not the door thing. That's kinda new. Oh... actually, I think that did happen once before, a few years back. I don't really remember!

Did that one hit your head?

[ It'd explain the memory anyway. ]

I don't think it did? But like I said, that was years and years ago, so the details are fuzzy now!

Ah... actually, I think it might've been a window.

That is a big difference. How do you forget something like that?

I get hurt a lot! I can't keep track of every single time, you know.

If you stay injured I'd think you'd be a lot more keen not to get hurt.

Huh, you think so? I don't see why, it's not like it's a big deal! I can barely even feel it!

It isn't going to do permanent damage for those of you who don't have aura if you're injured that badly?

I don't know what you mean by 'aura', but I'm pretty sturdy! Or maybe just lucky. I haven't been hurt too permanently, anyway!

People from my world can use their soul to prevent physical damage up to a certain point. So if I got hit with a door or whatever happened to you, it wouldn't hurt me unless I got hit with a door a lot of times in a row-- which I wouldn't let happen!

Whoa, that sounds useful! And I bet it makes people way tougher to fight! It's a shame we don't have anything like that in my world.

If we didn't have it, we probably wouldn't stand half as much of a chance against the monsters of Grimm. Be glad you never had to face them.

But they sound strong! I bet fighting them would be a blast!

There is a certain... exhilaration you get while fighting them. [ They love their weapons, and Weiss is an heiress. There's no reason for her to need to run off to become a huntress other than her own desires. ] I wouldn't want to do it with a depleted aura, though.

[ She still will, though, which is made obvious by the scar over her eye. ]

Well, duh! All fights are exhilarating! That's what makes them so fun! And the more dangerous, the more exciting.

Did you fight a lot of them back home?

Not a lot, but I have fought a few big ones. I'm still in school, even if I'm one of the top of the class.

[ Probably her, Pyrrha, and Blake when it comes to overall grades. Certain other members slack off quite a bit or just aren't up to their standards. ]

Huh, really? Neat! I barely got to fight any real fights back when I was in school!

[Henry's definition of real is, of course, to the death. Because what fun is it otherwise?]

What do you use to fight, anyway?

I fight with a Multi-Action Dust Rapier called Myrtenaster. [ She realizes that since there are a lot of people who don't even know what Dust is, she probably has to explain, so after a moment's pause, she continues. ] The best way to describe it to someone who isn't familiar with the weapons of our world would be a rapier combined with a revolver chamber, but instead of bullets in the I use Dust in special casings.

That sounds awesome!

[Yeah... he has no idea what any of that meant outside of the rapier part. But it sounds cool and that's all that matters.]

Maybe I'll get to see you in action sometime, nya ha!

If I can get supplies and you're around, I don't mind if you want to come watch me practice.

[ She's hoping it doesn't come to reality first. Danger is never a good time to admire skills. ]
