Third Hex ✶ Voice

[The first part of the message is just meant for the Shepherds, but Henry doesn't bother to make it private. Mostly because he's still a little too dizzy to remember how to do that again.]

So, uh... One of our doors is broken now. It's the one to Alice's room, specifically. I figured I should let someone know, because I'm pretty sure we should get that fixed!

We'll need to get new wood though, because my blood is on a few parts of it.

And also a piece of it is kind of lodged in my arm. So I don't think we can use that anymore.

[Should he have mentioned that part first? Oh well.]

I really hope that this curse or whatever ends soon! It's not nearly as much fun as the previous ones.

No, I'm onto you...

Your magic, you've- you've gotten in her head...

That's why she was scared...! Not because of me!

Yes, yes, of course...!

That's the only thing that makes sense...!

How would I know that?!

Rikka-chan would never mistrust me before now!

[Sounding a bit... coming apart there, Alice]

I am fine!

[Sound of something, uh. Smashing. There's probably something else broken in Alice's room now.]

You people... it's because of all you other people...!

No, you are! You have! I understand it now!

I- I have to save her...

[She is... crying now? Or laughing? ...both?]

I have to... th- that's the only way, isn't it...? To make it so she can no longer suffer at the hands of you people...

[And the book shuts.

If you listen, you can probably hear that sobbing laughter in the ship.]
