1st Song: Not in Kansas! [VOICE] + [ACTION] for those at Isla Empieza
[As he looks around the Town Square in confusion, Gakupo can't help but think...]
I don't remember there being a music video for this time period in the schedule. [He crosses his arms, trying to go through his schedule saved in his memory bank.] We did this ages ago, anyway!
[The only video he really disliked doing...]
And where are the costumes? [He looks down at his own clothing, knowing that he stuck out.] I hope I don't have to buy one with my own money.
And where did this journal come from? [He currently has it open, unaware of it recording all his words, leafing through the pages and finding it already filled with so much.] It's such a primitive way of keeping notes. Doesn't anyone have a smartphone or tablet? [He continues turning the page before he suddenly stops at this handy entry.]
....oh...oh dear...

Thank you so very much! I will be sure to repay your gratitude! [A new shamisen! How can this man be so nice?
He stands up again, listening to the explanation of the shop. So, it could possibly...]
Do you think it would have my shamisen there?

[In truth, Motochika doesn't know -- he's never made that specific a request of her. Not that he sees anything wrong in giving it a go. He drops his hand back down to rest on the head of his shamisen.]
It certainly won't hurt to ask the proprietress, Miss Margie. We shall see what her answer is.

(ooc: should I make a separate comment in the Backwater Brig post to ask for one? You don't have to jump in for that one.)

[Hoisting his shamisen back onto his shoulder, Motochika begins to lead the way there.]
Afterward I will show you the Koumyou. Some of the crew may yet linger on the ship for you to meet.
(OOC; Go ahead! It'll go quicker alone, which is easier for us.)

I've never been on a ship before. [Now he wonders if androids even get sea sick...] How many people are in the crew?

[Motochika turns down a back alley and stops; his eyes seek out the faint will-o-wisps that lead to the shop. After a moment he points the first one out.]
Do you see them, Gakupo?
no subject
[To Gakupo, most of those names sound pretty Japanese, minus the last one.]
Are most of you from Japan?
[He tries to catch what Motochika could be talking about before his eyes fall upon the will-o-wisp.]
I do. What are they? They can't be fireflies. Not in this weather, or that color.

[Motochika explains, before he resumes walking, following the faint trail of will-o-wisps.]
Most of us are, by chance. But our eras are different. Mitsuhide and I come from a year that our crew members consider to be hundreds of years in their past.

They're quite beautiful. Can they be seen even in the daylight?
[Gakupo looks over Mitsuhide's clothing, and hair.] Actually, I wouldn't have guessed that. [With hair like that, how could he have come from hundreds of years ago?]

[Motochika answers before he laughs.]
I defy convention as I please. [Does he sound proud of that? Why yes. He cuts his own hair; it's another one of his talents.] Once you meet Mitsuhide, you will believe it. He holds tradition dearly.
