A navy commander would seem to be the ideal captain...especially since I, unfortunately, couldn't tell you much about sailing myself. Back home we live above most oceans and the like, so it's hardly a necessity to learn about sailing under such conditions. That said, I would prefer to meet both you and your captain in person before I make any decisions.
