[Sora doesn't sound like himself. His voice makes it clear just how tired he is. He's not sleeping. Riku has probably noticed him pacing and wandering off on his own, a lot, by this point.

Heck, everyone has probably noticed him staring off into space and seeming just...out of sorts.

He even snapped at the captain, okay.

Sora is not being Sora. He hasn't smiled or given any words of encouragement. He's not eating, by this point. He's giving one-word responses. He's muttering things under his breath.

Yeah. Have fun with that, guys.

So, yeah. Today, he got so frustrated he threw the journal at the wall (Sora, it's not the journal's fault), and shouted a--]

[Doesn't say anything, just gets up to follow him.]

[When he gets out on the deck, he moves to the edge and just. Stands there. Gripping the railing, he clenches his teeth.

He just wants her to be quiet...

Putting a hand to his head, he makes a frustrated sound. He hasn't even realized he was followed.]

[Steps up beside him, his brow furrowed. That's either one heck of a headache or—no, if he's making sounds like that, there has to be something else going on. He reaches out to clamp a hand on his shoulder.]

[He tenses at the hand, head turning towards Riku, and there is a rather angry look flashing across his face. Just for a moment. At discovering it's Riku, his face shifts to an expression filled with more...conflict, than anything.]

R-...Riku, you should... [Go. Get away.]

Just...[He closes his eyes a moment before looking away.] ...Right now's a bad time.

[That's seriously the only way he's capable of putting it. It feels like, every time he even considers trying to explain better, his voice is suddenly locked into his throat.]

[Takes a startled step back at that look, as it's one that's rarely, if ever, directed at him.]

Sora...

[He frowns. Nope. Leaving him alone isn't a thing he can do.]

...Fine.

[But he doesn't have to stick around and make it worse either. He takes another step away, and then drops down to sit on the deck and leans back against the ship's side.]

I'll shut up. And stay over here. [In case his proximity it somehow making whatever this is worse.] But you'll talk to me if you start feeling worse, right?

[AUGH...he really...really feels bad, too. The look had been because of her. He knows this. In spite of knowing that, however, he still can't help but feel guilty.]

[A large part of him appreciates Riku not going away. In spite of knowing it's a bad idea to stay around anyone, at the moment. In spite of knowing the risk of having him around, it still...]
