[She didn't know Henry that well, but from what she did know, this tone was a little weird for him. That chilled her to the bone even further - "keep an eye on" was a little bit ambiguous.]

I... yes. I appreciate that, Henry. Just... whatever happens, please forgive her? And try not to hurt her, okay?

Oh, you don't have to worry about that, trust me! I wouldn't hurt any of you guys.

And besides, she's not exactly herself right now, right? So it's not like it's her fault! I'll just make sure she doesn't do anything she'll regret later.

I know. But... if something happens and she starts to move, she's strong. Very strong. Please, be careful.

I'm relieved, though. I know I can't watch her and Mana all the time... I'm glad I'm not the only person.

Ah, well... I'm not very strong physically, but magic's my strength anyway. [Seriously, the guy's like a twig.] Hm... Most of my curses are pretty lethal, but I'm sure I could find a safer one to incapacitate her, if it's really necessary.

Well, sure! We're a part of the same crew, so we're supposed to help each other out, right? So I'll do my best.

Um... but Alice is very physically strong. Are you sure you'll be okay?

[The word "lethal" chills her blood even further, though, and her voice climbs.]

D-don't kill her! If you have to hurt her a little instead, I guess that's okay, but don't you dare take her away from me!

Back home I went up against physically strong enemies all the time! You just have to know what you're doing, really!

[But of course that was easy, because he didn't need to hold back. He just killed them.]

Whoa, whoa, I won't kill her! I said most of my curses are lethal, not all of 'em!

I-! [A long pause, punctuated by heavy breathing, and a few long, slow, deep breaths.] I'm going to hold you to that. I don't care what happens, nothing will take them away from me. I know I have to trust you. But, please... they're my world. Do the best you can, okay?

[It sounds terribly feeble, even to her, but it's the only way she can express herself.]

I won't kill them, promise. And I won't let anyone else kill them either! Besides, why would I let anyone else here die before me? That'd just be unfair, ha ha!

[Not the best way to reassure someone, but at least he tried?]

I just hope everyone goes back to normal soon. They're much less fun like this.

I... I don't know what to say to that... I would rather you not die either. But, if that's what drives you, I can't really object. I... please, keep them safe, Henry. In case I can't anymore.

I know what you mean. I... I'm going to turn into something very unpleasant, if the worst happens. I hope you won't think any less of me for doing what has to be done.

Nya ha, it's fine, most people think I'm weird, so I'm not surprised! I'll definitely keep them safe though, with all of my power. And I have a lot of that!

I transform into a legendary warrior with a ridiculous skirt. I'm not really someone that can talk about weird. [It's lighter than she thought she could be right now, which is good. Probably.]

Henry... I don't want to fight them at all. But there's no way around it. Not this time. I owe them my best, to be sure. And yet... I don't know. We'll just have to see what happens.

Yeah, that is pretty weird! But kinda cool, too!

That makes sense, not wanting to fight your friends. But I'm sure things'll work out, somehow! And I'll do my best to make sure of that too.
