All Spades, Straw Hats, and those invited, we need a full crew meeting immediately, off the ships.

To all other crews, my name is Marco. Do not touch a certain fireball named Ace. If you can avoid him, please do, but consider him extremely temperamental and volatile. That is not a challenge, it's a warning. He's not in his usual state of mind, and if confronted, he will try to kill you. And if you lay a hand on my baby brother, I'll kill you. So just leave him alone, and if you need help dealing with him, contact me here.

As a Captain, I need you to make sure your crew will be safe from this infection. As a brother, I need to stop Ace because this is the job of the oldest brother, not the youngest. And as a friend, and an ally, until you know what haki is and master it, I'm sorry to be cruel, but you are too weak to fight him as you are now, and that will hurt him more than it will hurt you.

And I can't allow that. It's a vow more sacred than anything else I have. ["If we let that boy fall, it'll shame the very name of the Whitebeard pirates!"]

Staying the last one standing is the toughest thing anyone can do Straw Hat, but that's your job now. You don't get to be selfish this time. That's part of being the captain. [And it's why Marco hates it and never wants to be Captain.]

No. [he doesn't care about weird infections or anything like that. Ace is weird again. He was happy and then he was weird again and Luffy wants to be there.]

I'm going. Don't get in my way. [he'll figure out a way around it because in the end they're brothers so it doesn't matter if he has haki or he doesn't. He'll just fight really hard and not give up and in the end Ace will understand and even if he doesn't, it doesn't matter because Luffy isn't going to leave him]

If you hurt my ship I'll kick your ass! [because it was their precious ship and the one Usopp had been on and Moto-chan had fixed. It was their home and he wouldn't even let Ace's nakama hurt it.

At Marco's next words, though, he takes off the hat and looks at it. Rubs the place where Ace's vivre card is stuck in the brim. He doesn't want to fight anyone. He wants to go after Ace. He's not sure what Shanks would do cuz he's not as wise as Shanks but he knows what he would do.]

I'm Luffy, not Shanks. [he puts the hat on his head and pushes it over his eyes. There was something else that Marco said, too.]

What would I be getting in the way of?

Me and Ace.

He's fighting himself right now, if he has to fight you too, that willl be a lot harder on him.

He can only run from me for so long before there's nowhere left to run. But he can't hurt me enough to hurt himself. Because keeping you safe means more to him than keeping me safe, got it?

You're strong enough to keep him safe?

I can't get infected by him, and the only way he can hurt me is to hurt himself.

I swear on my mark as a Whitebeard commander, I will see your brother safely returned to you Straw Hat. I swear it.

[he thinks about this. He doesn't like it but...He has to believe that Marco can take care of Ace. That nakama can take care of nakama. He's not strong enough to go against him yet and if his own nakama come with him... they might get hurt. Not all of them were as strong as Zoro and Sanji and Robin]

Is it something that needs a doctor to fix or do we have to kick someone's ass?

I don't know yet. But before that, I don't know your crew well enough. Figure out if any of them are acting off. So far it seems to be taking overprotective measures to a murderous level. [.... Oh. Like Marco himself when he wasn't infected... eheheh >> Ignore that okay.]

Okay. I'll take care of it. [he's not sure how but he would figure that out on his own] We're going to go find a doctor.
