But Codi doesn't know this, so she needs to make sure that her little experiment in efficiency has succeeded. Her initial message is, therefore, innocuously simple.]

Great--looks like that list worked! For anyone that's still confused, this is a private entry for everyone that said they would join the new arrivals committee; I was just playing around with the journal to see if I could filter to a group if I named it, and that seems to do the trick!

Anyway, now that we're all here, I have a couple of announcements to make before we get to organizing ourselves. Most importantly is that matter of making sure we keep each other in check--I know there was a lot of grumbling about trust and stuff, and as much as I want to believe that all of you are lovely people who would never hurt each other, we need to make sure everyone's comfortable here. So I'm going to do that thing I told you all I wasn't going to do and ask for your ship's current location. My ship, the Sinewave, is by Monsuta in the northeast. Where are the rest of you?

If it has to do with the welcome committee I was going to ask to be included anyway. I agree that it's a good idea to have someone to welcome people on Empieza. Even if they aren't in immediate danger the experience can be disorienting and we never know when the Navy might show up again.

I think it's a good idea, but we should be cautious about it. Not everyone will agree with the idea of a welcome committee. We should keep it small and well-armed.

Agreed; it wouldn't be practical to send a lot of people over at once, anyways. Might draw too much attention. Good point!

I wasn't terribly subtle about the whole location thing, you're right--but I never said I wouldn't ask for locations in private. You can be assured that this information isn't leaving this entry.
