Since everyone is talking about raiding the island, I wanted to ask if there was a supporting role one could do while it was going on?

After what happened a week ago, I don't think I could handle being on the front lines right now. I want to help, so logically being support is the only option left for me, but I don't quite know things like healing spells or anything. So I thought I would at least ask.

There are many roles one might partake in this 'raid' as you called it. The best way to assess what you would be capable of doing to assist, would be for you to list your capabilities. You said you don't know any healing spells, but do you perhaps know any spells? We are likely going to need to create a fog or steam cover, so any fire magic would be useful for that.

I'm sorry. I don't know any magic at all. My friends can do that type of thing however, but I still don't know my full capabilities. All I'm really good for is being a cheerleader at the minute.

Well, even a cheerleader can be an important role you know. One of my closest friends was a dancer who inspired us with her dancing in the middle of combat, enabling to fight twice as hard as we were previously capable. Never underestimate the value of moral support my dear, and never for a moment count yourself out as being useless.

When the time comes, perhaps you'll be asked to do various tasks like simply keeping the sails steady as they ride through the fog created by others.

How could one dance in the middle of combat?

If your ship is willing and has the room, you may be able to take the newcomers on board for a time, so as to give them somewhere to go if they can reach the Nav on the island with those able to instruct them in its use.

That actually sounds like a good idea. At least that way wed know it to be safe and if the Navy did try we'd have ways to deal with it from a distance.

You would be providing a very valuable kind of assistance while out of most of the danger.

It's probably one of the most important besides the fighting. Making sure that people stay safe.

I'm a lot better than I have been, I must admit.

I was thinking of doing that, but I feel like I have to do something and not just sit around like I tend to do. It's not a way to get stronger, after all.

But someone did come up with the idea of getting people to safety and on the ships, so that might give me something to do.

Oh - that is a good idea! Safety is important - and I guess a lot of us here sometimes forget about it. Oops!

I've looked after myself for the most part. Some people were probably worried but I knew we all had gone through something, so I tried to not let them get too worried.

Though if you don't want to leave your room, I culd always come to you?

Considering what's happened, all the things that seem to happen seem to end up with some form of fighting, so I guess safety isn't on top of peoples minds rather than survival.

Eyes and ears kiddo. The hardest part of anything is keeping an eye out at all times in all directions. Don't underestimate the value of that. Even with how much I can fight, I feel blind out there because it's impossible to keep a track of all that's going on.

So basically keeping an eye out for everyone is one of the better ideas to help.

I know a bit as I was planning to learn how to navigate while I was here.

I can push buttons as well as the next person.

Because communication is going to be key. And I'm thinking that perhaps you could act as a switchboard operator of sorts. The journals do have a button for sending, after all.

Making a network, connecting ships so that combatants don't have to worry about that.

I see. Do you have medical experience, perhaps? Management skills to run the ship?
