Ik - Ikki...

*To say that this voice is miserable is a dramatic understatement, shaky and breathless*

Ikki's gone -

*There's a sound like a deep intake of breath, that shuddering noise that hints at the start of a wail or a sob. But before Selphie can break down over the journal, she slams it shut*

*As for her crew, maybe they heard the screams when she realised that Ikki wasn't beside her, or in his own room, or anywhere at all. From Selphie's room there is the crashing of wood tumbling against wood as she kicks apart the wooden train set that Ikki got her, the pieces scattering all over the floor. Soon after that is the unmistakeable sound of smashing glass, followed by a wail, and then silence*

[The news is awful, mostly because he will miss Ikki a lot, even if he hadn't seen him in awhile. He however, also completely understands heartbreak. His voice is soft, devoid of much energy, and he says the only thing he can think of.]

I'm sorry Selphie.

[Leanne has in fact did hear those sounds and she moves at once to go and find her friend. Once she nears where Selphie's scent is, she goes to knock on the door softly.]

Selphie, may I come in.

*Selphie struggles to say anything for a while, but it's clear that she's there judging by her shaky breaths*

...

...it's not...not fair...

I can't -

*There's the sound of rustling blankets as Selphie sits up in bed. She makes a noise, unable to speak, but the door is unlocked so she can come in. Just watch out for that smashed bottle of rum on the floor*

It's not fair.

[He agrees with her. He's not as wordless as he was, but he understands it completely. He's quiet a moment.]

Don't recommend trashing your room. Just makes a big mess you have to clean up later.

My room? Who cares about my room? The mess can stay there. I don't care.

*And despite how stubborn she's being, Selphie sounds genuinely horrified and bitter*

You don't care now. A few days from now when you've smashed the walls into a bunch of splinters, it tends to matter.

[He sighs softly.]

Just advice. I still can't go deal with it.

[Leanne goes to open the door slowly and enters. She frowns at the sight and uses her wings to hover off of the ground, moving towards the other girl and sitting down next to her.]

Please speak what you can.... [She coos in a more gentle and motherly way and moves a wing to cup Selphie within it, to hide her from the outside world, trying to coax her to the heron's bosom.]

Aw shit.

[And not long after this entry shows up in the journals, one of the Navs lights up, Namur barreling out of the blinding white flash. He skids to a stop on the deck just long enough to focus in on Selphie's scent, then heads straight to wherever she is.]

Sel!

[Lord of the Sea what the hell did she do to her room?]

[Rose is going to wait an hour or two before going to check up on Selphie so that the girl can have her space. She knocks on the door before opening it.]

How are you holding up?

*Selphie hasn't moved from her room and from the looks of things, everything she could have smashed or thrown has been smashed or thrown.

There's a lump on the bed where Selphie is, hidden in the corner beneath a mound of duvet. She hears Namur, but doesn't respond*

*Later on, Selphie would consider how unfeeling she was towards Roxas. But for now she just feels...lost*

It doesn't matter... He's gone. It doesn't matter...

I know.

[He's quiet for a little, but finally speaks up again.]

Selphie? Do you want a hug?

[Namur shoves things aside, wordlessly making a path from the door to her bed. He'll have to send someone in with a broom later to sweep up the glass and splinters. But for now he sits next to the lump, and after a bit of gentle poking to determine what is where, starts stroking her back.]

*Sensing Namur beside her, Selphie allows him to stroke her back for a moment or two. Then she turns around, still hiding under the duvet, but resting her head by his shoulder instead*

*Selphie is still in bed, though at least this time she is sitting up. She doesn't appear to have moved an inch in hours. She lifts her face towards Rose, her eyes puffy and red. She doesn't say anything, though, just clears her throat*

*Selphie just looks at Leanne for a moment before burying her face into her pillows. Then she hides quite happy inside Leanne's wing, but she can't speak, just makes a small sobbing noise*

I - I'll be okay.

I think...

*But then there's a sniff like she's holding back tears*

I just don't know anymore...

Let me know if you change your mind.

[Roxas gives her some peace for awhile, but probably an hour or so later, he goes to check things out. He knocks lightly and opens the door, peering in. He has a bright orange and red scarf on which most likely wasn't his and he's still dragging around his stuffed cat toy.]

Selphie? You need anything?

[In his other hand a glass of water for her. He walks over and puts it on the bedside table.]

Sorry, Sel.

[And he means it, really. He's sorry she's hurting like this. Sorry to have lost another brother.]

[Namur bundles her up and shifts around to a slightly more comfortable position, holding her tight for as long as she needs... or at least until other needs start making themselves apparent. How long has it been since she's eaten?]

*At first, Selphie just rested herself against him. But, eventually, his words sink in and her shoulders start to shake as she tentatively moves her arms around him to hold herself close*

*Selphie is still lying curled up on her bed when he comes in. She looks up at him though with damp eyes, and rubs at them to brush any potential tears away. Selphie sits up a little and looks at the glass of water in confusion*

...water...?

When I didn't want to get up, Namur told me to get some water. I thought it might help. Also you have to drink it, right? So...I brought some.

[Rose gives a bit of a nod.]

I figured as much.

[She went through the same thing thousands of years.]

For all we know, this is only a temporary thing, and that perhaps one day he will be back. It has happened before with others. For your sake and Ikki's, try to hold onto that little bit of hope.

*Selphie just looks at Rose, eyes wide with confusion, and disbelief. She usually takes the role of the optimist, but this time she's really struggling*

...but what if he doesn't...?
