[hed have reached the building she was supposedly playing in and searched it, as well as asked most of the patrons questions before he heard his journal talking. Since it wasn't Faye's voice he almost ignored it, until he heard her name. Then the voice entry had his full attention]

Hey! Whoever you are, tell me where you've taken her right now!!

[he could try to track them down with his nose even if they didn't tell him where they went, but that would take time- time he didn't feel comfortable spending while she was in their custody. In the meantime, he'd try to encourage some support from his crew and made an entry to them]
