...Obviously all I would need is ingredients. That's the problem. That's EVERYTHING. It's not as though you're saying, oh, all you would need is a cauldron! You can just use any old bowl shaped thing! No, ingredients are the potion. And there are many, many ingredients I'd need, and potions are particular, you can't just replace one item with something similar and hope it'll turn out okay.
