[Brady has chosen to write, as he's not too confident in his voice today...]
... In case you haven't noticed,Ma Maribelle went back home. It's better for her, really. She's got important stuff to do back home. I'll miss her, but it's not like I'll never see her again
[He hastily writes, scratches out, rewrites, several sentences before trying again.]
With her gone, I've done some thinking. While I've been here, I've been following her around like I was attached to her hip. And maybe I was only doing things because that's what she wanted. I only joined this ship because she was on it. I only went on missions that had her approval. That's no way to live. I'm an adult, and it's time I started acting like one.
I guess what I'm trying to say is... I think it's time I started thinking and doing stuff more independently. It's time I moved on.
To everyone on the Shepherds of Justice, I can't thank you enough for taking care of me. You guys are amazing, and you deserve someone much better than me. Maybe I'll come back sometime, if nothing else fits, but right now, I gotta break free of Ma, even when she's not here.
((OOC: just so everyone knows - with this post, brady will be leaving the shepherds of justice, and joining the hazmats!))

Ah, well . . . I was thinking that perhaps you'd like to spend time together for a while if you're not seeking solitude.

Independence doesn't come easily, you know. It could turn out to be very dangerous. You'll make many mistakes and likely suffer more than once. ...Are you prepared?

... All walks of life got mistakes in 'em. It's how we learn. How am I ever gunna learn anythin', if I'm always in someone else's shadow?
[voice]
[going to say it nice and clear this time instead of fumbling] ...Boo. Ya. Ka. Sha.
Before we get a new ship.
[voice]
... Booyakasha? The hell kinda name is that?
[voice]
Dependin' on how many people we hook up with at Empieza, though, we might need to look at a bigger ship. And that one'll have a better name.
[voice]
I'll say, that's the weirdest name I ever heard of, and I've got a friend named 'Nah'...
[He clears his throat.]
Whatever happens, I'll roll along with it. I'm just grateful for the chance.

Bravo. That was quite a speech about independence.

[He momentarily forgets his own troubles - the last time he spoke to her, she... wasn't herself. Instead, her body belonged to a creepy old man. So. He's relieved.]
Thank goodness, you're okay...
voice;
[Because it had been a while since the last time as she could recall.]
Yeah... I'm okay. Did you speak to the guy in my body? I ask because someone wouldn't say that unless they had.
