[action]

[Haruta was one of the Whitebeards greatest swordsmen, though not the best in all the world and maybe not even the best of the Whitebeards, but she was made the 12th division commander for a list of reasons, one of them being her skill in combat. But also in training.]

[She could have laid Rogue out several times with little thought, but where was the lesson in that? She could have sped up and whacked her a few good ones here and there, but again, what good was that. This was meant as training, but more... as a way for the other to blow off steam (as well as for Haruta to see how she fights).]

[The blocks were good. Steady. And as the attack came in, she grinned, a bit impressed as it happened. A little wild, but not bad at all. She could see the other had something planned. Her hand came up, palm taking the force of the staff and fingers wrapping around it, twisting the grip in an attempt to disarm the other. Mean while, the hand that came for her sword hand made contact, though her hand purposely dropped the sword, twisted around to grab hold at the girls wrist, and tried to twist her around.]

[The end result twisted Rogues hand carefully, and with little pressure, around her back, the bow staff wedged in between the girls body and her arm, but also shoved down past the girls knee. A kick of the staff could bend the girl to her will. But she didn't take it that far, grinning.]

Not bad. I like your guts in movement. [She let both staff and girl go, sliding back to scoop up her dropped wooden sword a moment later, moving back to tuck her free hand behind her back, sword tip turned to the ground, resting.] Where did you learn?
