We're on a whatever they call Sky Islands here. It's funny because I was just telling Thatch I really wanted to go to one. All while forgetting how much Namur hates them. With good reason too, he can't swim in clouds, anymore than I can fly in the Fishman Island water half. Still, he's been a real bro about putting up with it to humor me and Ace, and the others, eh?

So it got me thinking again, about the kind of extreme things we do for those we care about, eh?

Now me, I wouldn't think twice before going to war with an entire universe if I had to, but what about the rest of you lot, eh? What kind of crazy things would you do to prove you love your family, or maybe crazy things you put a line at?

[There's a scrabbling sound as the journal opens and Chandra's voice pipes up somewhat anxiously.]

Well, I figured out what that accident turned the chicken into. It's a drake, definitely a drake and not a dragon. And...uh...I'm not sure where it's gone off to. If anyone sees a four foot long flying lizard, let me know? He's probably just flown off to the Moon or something. All the same, let me know.

[And wouldn't you know it, she's right. Anyone out on the deck of the Moon today will find Chandra's reptilian troublemaker chasing a small bird, spouting out little balls of fire and trying to roast it. Or chasing mice down below, or very likely making a nest out of some spare coils of rope. Stopping it may be a good idea, because firebreathing critter on a wooden boat?]

Unfortunate really that so much time was spent away and so little gained from it. I regret that communication during that time proved impossible. The island of Cahwaba held many unexpected surprises, among them the ability to prevent messages from appearing in these magical journals. I am uncertain whether this effect occurs all of the time or if we simply managed to trigger it in some way, but nevertheless it did interfere with communication.

I trust everyone is well?

[One person in particular maybe?]

Did anything news worthy occur? I suppose the Navy has remained fairly quiet since that last attack?

As the island is more centrally located and much more hospitable we have made our way back to Isla Empieza. Connor is here as well, if any wondered after him. He is, it seems, an excellent tracker.

[The elegant handwriting stops abruptly as the journal begins to capture a gentle clattering sound instead of the script. ]

[Voice]

Connor? Is that you?

[Unseen through the journal the Grand Master turned in his seat to face whomever approached unaware that the journal was still recording the exchange.]

You should move more quietly if you mean to catch me unaware.

Ah... [It's probably been a while since her actual voice has been heard over the journal, but she felt like she would get more results like this.]

Before we left the island, I was able to catch a newspaper. I didn't know how to respond, but... I'm wanted! This isn't good... I can't have others coming after me! I just want to be safe. Luckily, it's not big right now so maybe they'll leave me alone...

Um, but I was curious. Can... any of us go after each other? We do run into other pirate ships often, and I don't want to be attacked or anything! [Not that anyone around here has any guts to try it, from what she's found out.] None of us are really in good graces with the Navy, but I'm sure even they wouldn't mind it if we fought amongst ourselves...

Maybe our next island will be safe enough to rest easy. Have a good day and stay safe, everyone!

[For the Roses, Bonnie can be seen with the newspaper still in her hand, eagerly scanning over the paper. She's a bit pissed at the fact that her bounty is low, but she's also wondering which ones would be easy to pick off if she needed to.

Can't have enough money, after all!]
