[If they also happen to be a member of the crew called Shepherds, they can find Luke sitting with his back against the railing somewhere out on the deck. He's taking a break after a long day of distracting himself with chores and...whatever else works as a thing to not make him think about the situation.
So, he's never bothered using the journal beyond searching through it for possible answers. Until now. He's decided to ask a question that's been seriously bugging him.
When he speaks, it's obvious from his tone that he's not ashamed to be asking this.]
So, I was wondering... [He pauses.] I know it has something to do with...candy? But-
[He's scratching at the side of his face for a moment.] What exactly is- Valentine's Day all about? What's it even for?
