Because Ieyasu was still responsible for the death of Hideyoshi? I find it unlikely that Motonari and Yoshitsugu were responsible for that. Mitsunari is an emotional man, and betrayal is the greatest of sins to him. He will not let go of Ieyasu's actions simply because it wasn't the only betrayal that he faced.
