[He sounds relieved.]

[He'd reply by voice, but he's still a bit paranoid at the moment.]

Death here is fortunately temporary. I'm glad you're alive.

...Understandable. [He sighs.] I'm not, for what it's worth, but I can't speak for a lot of the others.

It's probably better to come back alive then to just die. I suppose that's strange coming from me, but I'd rather not die here. I made Riku a promise.

Having such a thing to look forward to is the difference between us. [He sounds bitter, yes, and he probably doesn't care.]

I know you don't know me that well, but it has taken months for Riku to convince me that dying isn't the way I need to go. I hate being a vampire, but if it can be of any use, I suppose in a way it's worth it.

[He sighs and clears his throat, it's a little awkward to admit this.]

I'm glad you're alive, because I'd like to...be friends with you.

[God, if Tohru were here, he'd laugh his ass of at him.]

Suit yourself. We're shipping out on Saturday. You're welcome to come with or stay here. If we don't die we'll be back.

[Aya sighs softly. He couldn't really say he had many close friends here. It was very similar to being with Kritiker, Crashers, and Weiss. Only with Side-B did he truly feel close to his teammates, and it took a lot of pushing and personal growth to get to such a stage. It was his own fault, for wanting to focus all he had on revenge.]

[This entire conversation is awkward. He isn't used to people just flat out asking to be his friend. So it's a couple of moments before he answers.]

[It's okay, he's rather embarrassed about it himself, but really, Natsuno doesn't make friends. He's never been interested in it before, it's just that being on this crew with all these people who care about him because he's around, in spite of the fact he's a vampire, it's a little overwhelming. What he does know is he wants to protect them, to the best of his ability and Aya is part of that crew.]

Riku says there's going to be a way to get to the witch. We're going to go after her. I want to make sure she pays for what she's done. I'm so sick of this, this crap!

[He stumbles a little, such language is really not like him, but he's fed up.]

I can't let her get her hands on any of us. Not anymore.

[Aya isn't sure that he would want to sit out on such a venture. He may want to risk his own safety to make sure no one else goes through that.]

We're setting sail soon, we still haven't left the port because of the damage to the ships. We're going to work at repairing them. I think everyone who has lost their minds have been contained, but we probably can't be sure. I've been told Thatch took care of Logan, at least, and Thatch said not to worry about Ace, he's also taken care of.

[Even Logan was affected? Aya hums in thought.]

I'll try not to waste time, then. How much damage can we repair before leaving?
