[voice/action for Friend Ship]

[If you're on the same ship Guy's on, you'll find him in the galley, puzzling over a small, colorful pile of partially broken eggs. Beside that is a smaller pile of candy bracelets and necklaces.]

So these eggs that keep turning up everywhere...

Has anyone found any that aren't cooked? I was hoping to make something with them, but they're all hard-boiled alrea--huh?

[He trails off, attention diverted. There's a surprised yelp and then a sound like the journal hitting the floor. Then Guy's voice again, slightly muffled and panicked.]

Anise, please d-don't sneak up behind me like that...you'll give me a heart attack one of these days.

[The journal is open, but upside down on the floor, and he's making no movement to pick it up, so it's probably still 'recording'.]

I have yet to find an egg that didn't either have money, candy or a chick in it. [She didn't even know there were hard boiled ones to be honest.]

Huh. There are some that don't have anything in them, they're just normal eggs. I think they're edible, but I haven't tried any yet.

I guess I could try one if I come across one. [She figured that someone has to try and find out.] I could then tell you afterwards.

You don't have to. I'd feel guilty for the suggestion if they turned out to be poisonous.

I wouldn't mind. Besides I trust that they aren't. I have that much belief.

Well...okay then. Let me know if anything unusual happens...I guess.

[A pause, then:]

Ah...by the way miss, what's your name?

Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Kairi. It's nice to meet you.

And I'll let you know about the eggs.

[Finnian was currently carrying some cargo from one place to another. Ciel his pet chick was chilling in his pocket of his jacket as he stood by the door, wondering just what was going on.]

Is everyone okay in there?

[Ridiculous phobias is what's going on. When Finnian wanders in, Guy is attempting to get past Anise, who's blocking his access to the door Finnian's just entered.]

We're uh..w-well, not really. I mean, no one's hurt, just...

[Whoops! Looks like she's been caught, heheh! She spins around to face Finnian, although she continues to block the doorway.]

I'm just helping Guy build up his tolerance!

[Because she's so selfless and all, and definitely not because it's fun.]

[Blink. Blink. Um, he isn't quite sure what kind of tolerance one would need for this kind of thing though. But he does take notice that he really doesn't look great and looks like he needs to get out the room.]

I don't think blocking the door is helping any. Maybe he just needs fresh air.

[Fun for you, Anise.]

N-no, it's not really a lack of fresh air, it's...well, she's sort of right, b-but it's not working very well.

[And it's highly embarrassing besides.]

[And it being highly embarrassing means that Anise jumps at the chance to expand on it.]

It's because Guy doesn't like women. So I'm working hard to cure him of his phobia! ♥

[He just stares for a moment. If he was hearing what he was hearing correctly then he is going to be very confused.]

He doesn't like woman? Then why be on a ship where the crew is mostly woman?

[It didn't make sense to him.]

It's not like that! Don't say it like that...I like women, just...not when they get too close.

[As for being on the crew...he's not really entirely sure anymore.]

Because I'm here, of course! You're here to protect me, aren't you, Guy?

[Not that she needs any protecting. But she stops shuffling back and forth to block the door, and instead stands right at the middle, hands on her hips and sighing loudly.]

Honestly, you should be over this by now.

[It's been months without progress!]

[Honestly Finnian had no idea of what to do or say next. It was just the most unusual situation one could have come across. Didn't stop him being more confused however.]

Um...So... Your helping him? That's admirable of you.

Protect, right...

[They both know that Anise doesn't need protection, but Guy's not going to say that. He would, if she needed it, but that's not why he's there. It's actually because he knew Jade was on the boat.]

It's not something I'll be able to get over that fast. I'm trying. And I think I've tried enough for today...

[And since Anise has stopped moving, he can take that opportunity to slip around her and move towards the door and Finnian instead.]

[Finnian used that moment to step to the side to let him by should it become necessary.]

Just so you know work wise there isn't much to do except check the sails now and again, so you have plenty of time to do what you want.

[Asbel pokes his head around a corner, all blue eyes and messy hair. He's carrying maybe four or five eggs in his hands, and there are another two stuffed in each of his pockets.]

Wow... You sure do scare easy, huh? [Asbel grins, but doesn't tease him more than that.]

So how do you know if an egg's "hard-boiled" or not?

I wish I didn't.

[Rude, Asbel. Except he doesn't continue, so slightly less rude.]

Tap it against something and see if it cracks open. [Which is probably not a good idea, now that he thinks about it.] Or just shake it. If it's not cooked, you can feel the liquid moving around inside.

Oh? [There isn't so much mischief in his voice anymore, as genuine curiosity. Maybe because he's used to having a skittish little brother. But still, it's just a little weird for him to see adults freaking out about anything.] Well...there's things you can do about that, you know? If you really want to conquer your fears, I mean.

But-- [Asbel looks down at his hands. He doesn't really want to make a mess and waste good eggs.] Got anywhere to put the rest of these? Somehow it seems like it'd be pretty hard to tell whether they're cooked or not if I shook all of 'em at once.

Nevermind. Don't worry about me, I'll figure it out eventually.

[Aaand changing the subject to the eggs.]

Yeah, here. [There's some space on the stove. Can he reach the stove? If he can't, Guy'll help him put the eggs up there.]

And we might end up with egg all over the floor if you do that.

[Asbel looks up at him for another few seconds, wondering what all that's about, but then he points his attention back to the eggs.]

Annnd...then I'd have to mop it all up. Point taken. [Asbel makes a face at that, stretching on his toes to deposit the rest of the eggs on the stove. If Guy really wants to help, he won't try to stop him, but if left on his own, he'll make a point of pushing them a little way from the edge so the movement of the ship won't cause them to roll off. And possibly break.]

[He shakes the first one close to his ear, maybe a bit vigorously. Shake shake shake...]

Nope. Something's moving, but I don't think whatever's in there is liquid. It's making a tapping sound.
